💙 In Loving Memory of Tom Farrell 💙

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Tom Farrell. 🙏

We are deeply grateful to everyone who chose to honour Tom's memory through donations to the Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation. Together, family and friends donated $1,100 in Tom's memory to support the Chemotherapy Unit at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre. These gifts will help enhance care and comfort for local cancer patients and their families.

The Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation is now accepting applications for our annual Healthcare Scholarship Program.

Each year, we award two $500 scholarships to students from the Burin Peninsula pursuing post-secondary studies in a healthcare-related field. These scholarships are designed to support and encourage the next generation of healthcare professionals as they begin their educational journey.

💙 In Memory of Gayle Collins 💙

Yesterday, we were honoured to welcome Joe Collins and the Collins family as they made a gift to the Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation in memory of their beloved wife and mother, Gayle Collins.

Their donation to our Patient Comfort & Care Program is a beautiful tribute to Gayle's life and will help provide medical transportation assistance to local patients and families when they need it most. We are deeply grateful for their generosity and for choosing to honour Gayle's memory in a way that will continue to make a difference in our community.

The Collins family also wished to express their sincere appreciation to the physicians, nurses, and staff of the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre for the exceptional care, compassion, and kindness shown to Gayle during her stay. They would especially like to recognize nurses Colleen Kelly-Beck and Tracey Whittle, whose outstanding care and support brought comfort to both Gayle and her family during a difficult time.
