A Little Education About Matting 🐾
At Feline Flair Mobile Cat Grooming, our goal is never to make pet parents feel bad about their cat’s coat. Matting can happen—even to the most attentive and loving cat owners. Cats shed, coats change with the seasons, and some cats simply need more grooming support than others.
We wanted to share a little education about why regular grooming can make such a difference.
When loose fur isn’t removed regularly, it can begin to tangle and form mats. As mats become tighter, they can pull on the skin and become uncomfortable for your cat. Larger or more compact mats can also make it difficult to properly see and care for the skin underneath.
This is why prevention is so much better than waiting until mats become a problem. ❤️
Regular grooming appointments with Jennie at Feline Flair Mobile Cat Grooming can help:
🐱 Keep the coat manageable between appointments
🐱 Remove loose and shedding fur
🐱 Reduce the likelihood of painful or difficult matting
🐱 Keep your cat comfortable and looking their best
🐱 Help Jennie monitor the coat and skin for changes
🐱 Make grooming a familiar, predictable experience for your cat
Every cat and every coat is different, so there isn’t one grooming schedule that works for everyone. Some cats may need more frequent appointments, while others may need less.
Our intention with sharing this is simply to educate, not to judge. We know that life gets busy, and sometimes matting can develop before you even realize it. That’s what we’re here for! 🥰
If you’re unsure how often your cat should be groomed, Jennie would be happy to help you find a schedule that works for your cat, their coat, and your lifestyle.
Because regular grooming isn’t about perfection—it’s about keeping your feline friend comfortable, healthy, and happy. 💕🐾
