What a way to start the long weekend! 🫣🌧️

Frankie, Griffin, Max & Kyah braved the wet weather for today’s pack walk and safe to say, we got a little muddy and very wet! 😂🌲

With the heavy rain and unpredictable weather, everyone stayed on long lines today as an extra safety precaution… Heavy rainfall can cause unexpected trail washouts, slippery conditions and changing terrain, plus theres always the possibility of popup thunderstorm (which we do not walk in.) ⛈️

Days like today are also why I keep our groups small! It allows me to keep a close eye on every pup, adjust when needed and make safety the priority while still letting everyone enjoy their adventure. Today my lovely partner joined us on the fun and as an extra set of hands. The dogs loved his company! 🩵🐾

After the pack walk, I finished off the day with a quick drop-in for Mary 🐶 before heading out for a very fun-filled afternoon adventure with Mabel! 💕

Now the big question… 👀 who would be interested in a pack walk Monday despite it being a holiday?!

Tomorrow’s pack walk is looking like it’s going to be a wet, windy & VERY muddy one! 😅🐾

If you have any extra towels you can leave out for dropoff, that would be greatly appreciated so I can do my best to send everyone home a little less soggy and muddy! 🩵

If your pup would rather skip tomorrow’s adventure because of the weather, absolutely no worries.. just send me a message and let me know!

MONDAY PACK WALK:

Monday is a holiday, but if I have enough interest, I’m still planning to run our regular pack walk! Please let me know if your pup is IN or OUT for Monday so I can get an idea of numbers.

Rain or shine… the adventure pups always seem to find a way to have fun! 🌲🐕💦

Another great Monday with the crew!

Thunder, Griffin, Max, Frankie & Charlie hit the trails for today’s pack walk 🌲🐾

Then Mabel wrapped up the day with some one-on-one time on her solo walk! 🩵

Friday adventures with our lovey dovey crew!

Frankie, Charlie, Kyah, Griffin, Max & Thunder kicked off the weekend with another pack walk together! 🩵Lots of exploring, sniffing and happy pups enjoying some time on the trails. 👃🏻🍃

After the pack walk, we headed over for a drop-in with sweet Mary 🐾 before finishing off the day with a solo walk for Mabel! 🩵🩵

🚙 And the votes are CLOSE!! 👀
Right now, “Woof Wagon” is holding onto the lead, with “TailBlazer” trailing right behind! There’s still time for things to change, so if you haven’t voted for your favourite name for our new packmobile yet.. don’t forget to cast your vote! 🗳️🐾

The winning name will officially be stickered on the RAV4! 🚙✨

Happy National Dog Day! 🐾🩵

Today is all about celebrating the dogs who make our lives a little louder, messier, happier and so much more full. 🥹

I feel incredibly lucky that Tails & Trails allows me to spend my days surrounded by so many amazing pups.. from our pack walk adventures and solo walks to drop ins, sleepovers and everything in between. Every single dog that has crossed my path through this little business has left their own paw print on my heart. 🐶🌲

Give your pups an extra treat, cuddle, adventure (or all three 😉) today from me!

Today’s pack walk came with a little extra excitement… the pack got their first ride in the new Tails & Trails car!🚙🐾🩵 (Name TBA)

I think it’s safe to say the upgrade has officially been dog approved.😂 They were so curious checking everything out at first, and it didn’t take long before everyone settled in and made themselves right at home. Seeing them with so much more room to get comfortable made me even happier about this new chapter for Tails & Trails. 🥹

After our pack adventure, it was time for a solo walk with Mabel… except Mabel took one look at the rain and decided walking was absolutely not on her agenda today.😂🌧️ So we switched things up! Instead, we spent our time playing games, doing little activities and getting in some mental enrichment while staying (mostly) dry.

One of my favourite parts of this job is being able to meet the dogs where they’re at whether that means a big trail adventure or turning a rainy walk into our own little game day. 🩵🐾

Safe to say it was a pretty great first adventure with the new wheels! 🚙✨

Some exciting news..

Since starting Tails & Trails in 2024, one of my goals has always been to eventually have an SUV dedicated to our pack walks.. giving the dogs more room, making pickups and drop offs easier, and having a setup that works better for all of our adventures. 🩵

The circumstances that got us here weren’t EXACTLY how I imagined it happening, but after the last few months of adjusting, making things work and doing the best we could with what we had, I’m really happy to finally have something that feels like a step back in the right direction!!

I also want to say a HUGE thank you to all of my clients for being so patient and understanding over the last few months while pack walks looked a little different. Whether it was smaller groups, changes because of the heat, or just figuring things out along the way, you guys have rolled with it and I appreciate it more than you know. 🥹🐾

My partner also deserves a big shoutout for spending today getting the back all geared up and ready for the dogs so we can officially put it to use tomorrow! He did such a good job making sure our crew has a safe and comfortable space. 🫶🏼

Tomorrow’s pack walk will be starting a little later than usual as I have to be at the DMV for 8am to get the RAV4 registered, but I’ll be messaging everyone individually with the game plan!

She may be a 2007, but she’s about to have a whole lot of muddy paws, dog hair and adventures added to her story. 😂🌲🐾

And now there’s only one thing left to do… give her a name! 👀🚙 I think it’s only fair that you guys.. the people (and pups 🐶) who have been along for this journey.. get to help name our new adventure mobile!

Friday adventures with Thunder, Kyah, Max & Griffin 🐾🌲🩵

Our crew hit the trails for another beautiful pack walk today! Lots of exploring, sniffing, running and, of course, practicing those important trail manners along the way. There’s nothing better than watching these guys enjoy the woods together while getting some exercise, enrichment and quality time with their friends. 🥹🐶
