When you love your “happy place” so much… why wait for a ride? On July 22, Sampson, an energetic pup, slipped out of his fenced yard and engineered his own 1.5‑mile journey straight to his favorite hangout: Dogtopia of Springfield! That’s right, he made the journey all on his own to his home away from home!

"Relieved and not at all surprised" is how his parents described their reaction to the news.

Sampson the dog surprised his owners by escaping from his fenced backyard to travel over a mile, across busy roads, to visit his friends at his favorite doggy daycare
