Ranch on him in the morning and take him to a show for the afternoon, this guy has done it all!
Originally trained in the southern US as a ranch horse, he spent the past 3 years in a hunter/jumper lesson program, as well as taking care of a special needs rider. He has been shown in low level hunters and can jump a course.
Standing a solid 16.2h, this guy is as gentle as he is big. Suitable for any size rider, Hankins is light to the aids, responsive and athletic enough to do be competitive in a show, but gentle enough to take care of an inexperienced rider on the trail. He is quiet on cattle, sure footed, strong enough to hold anything you decide to throw a loop over and fancy enough to ride a dressage pattern.
IDEAL confidence builder for a lesson program, husband horse, ranch horse, you name it! Easy keeper, quiet in the barn, low ranking in the herd, good with vet & farrier, ties, baths, easy to load, crosses water, excellent ground manners, good with dogs and machinery.
