Clarification for anyone who may have misunderstood, we are not letting the kittens go to homes at 5 weeks of age. We allow them to be "spoken for" at 5 weeks of age and held for adoption if the adoption donation is made right away.

Kittens leave at a minimum of 9 weeks of age once they have received their first vaccination and Health Certificate.

It's that time of year and we want to once again remind people that the SPCA has a P.U.P. Program (Prevent Unwanted Litters). If you apply and are approved, they will take all the kittens/puppies and spay mom for free. Please contact them if you are in this situation.

Accidents happen! The P.U.P Program, which stands for Prevent Unplanned Pregnancies, is here to help. Contact us to book an appointment and we will fix your female dog or cat for free, AND fully vet and find loving homes for the puppies or kittens.

Reminder:

We do NOT have the ability to take in adult cats. We have two fosters for them and both are full.

We do have a few fosters that will take moms with their babies.

To surrender friendly adult cats please call the North Nova SPCA to see if they are able to house them. Their number is 902-396-3595. If they are full they will put you on a waiting list.

Henny still awaits her forever home…..Henny just wants a place where she can chill and relax. She doesn't always like being picked up. She will sleep with you but may not want to cuddle. She likes being on the sofa watching movies and sometimes thinks nipping is playing so you correct her. She deserves a home.

The 3-3-3 rule is a guideline for acclimating a new cat to their home: 3 days to decompress (hiding/nerves), 3 weeks to settle in (learning routine), and 3 months to feel truly safe and comfortable. It emphasizes patience, providing a quiet "safe room," and allowing the cat to approach you on their own terms.

What can I say about this crazy crew? They are beyond adorable and hilarious. What do you guys think of them? Love to all from Smudge, Sunny, River, Watson and Willow. All these kittens have homes.

Hello from Momma Belle and her babies. They are going amazing because of Momma Belle who is a star on her own. Belle already has a home to go to and the babies won't be up for adoption for another 4 to 5 weeks.

The most wonderful thing happened last week.

A follower of our page contacted us and asked if we could put her in touch with Susan. So, I asked Susan to give her a call.

This call turned into a wonderful day on Friday when she went to meet the babies and she not only gave a very generous donation but she will also now be one of the volunteers who spend time every week helping to socialize and play with the kittens.

Susan is a very welcoming soul and those kittens get to meet so many wonderful people before they leave for their forever homes.

We are so pleased that we can put smiles on the faces of so many people.

The five kittens we just took in are 1 week old. We will not be accepting applications on them until they are 5 weeks. Please note that anyone with a pre-approved application will be considered first.

Well so new room to the little nutters and they are having a blast. Sunny Smudge, Willa River and Watson will sleep good tonight. And they are thoroughly interested in the p**p room which is great. All these kittens are spoken for. Love to all

Well well well well we did it again. Hahahaha 😂🤣. Momma Belle and 5 gorgeous babies are here. So videos to watch as they grow. Remember these babies will not be up for adoption until they are 5 weeks old. Belle has a family to go to once she is finished with her duties. Love to all!

Please! We cannot take in adult cats and kittens if we don’t have people willing to foster them.

Looking for a someone to foster Sissy while her milk dries up (two weeks) and possibly for 7-10 days after surgery for her to heal. We are removing her now, after speaking with the vet, as the kittens still have diarrhea. We think this will be best for both mom and the babies who will be 5 weeks old Tuesday.
