So this happened today. My bar girls and boy. Bailey, Malibu, Sambuca and Screech. Malibu is the smallest so we're keeping a close eye on her but she's eating well so that's good. Screech is the typical boy. He is having a blast. So Bailey, Malibu and Sambuca are girls. So fun! They love cuddles. They love to play.

My girls are doing so good. I just wish they would switch. They've been playing all night. Shay was here playing with them for an hour. Lorraine, Sonika and Susie are doing very well. They're just staying with me until they finish recovering from their surgeries. My God they're beautiful. They're just stunning.

Our two kittens from G-Town have a serious case of the “runs” but the faecal sample is showing negative for the regular culprits. Blood work looks good. A faecal can be sent to the lab, but that will take days to get back and the kittens are losing weight. So with that in mind, we decided to treat for a couple of parasites that have caused us problems periodically over the years and which have all the symptoms the kittens are experiencing right now. We have decided to treat for cryptosporidium and colostridium and hoping that will do the trick. It has been super stressful at Carma headquarters trying to figure this all out.

Below is a picture of sweet little Flurry after she came from the vet today. We were sitting in the parking lot at Teasdale‘s apothecary, waiting for our prescription of azithromycin. We will be treating with that plus metronidazole and possibly some subcutaneous fluids. We are hoping this will do the trick and that the babies will be feeling better in no time.

Little Miss Steph is keeping her name and is loving her new humans. She is still hiding a bit which is expected but when she comes out this is her. Love you Steph forever.

A few things:

1. For anyone who may be even slightly confused.....we are INDOOR only. I don't know of many rescues who are not. So, if you are not willing to keep a cat or kitten of ours indoor, please do NOT apply to adopt from us as you will only get upset when we decline your application. We are NOT saying you are not a good pet owner. We are saying you do not meet our criteria. It's nothing personal so please stop taking it personally.

2. Our Barn Cat program is completely separate from our Adoption Program. The Barn Cat program is for cats that are not adoptable and cannot be socialized to the point of living in a home.

3. We are busy so if you expect someone to immediately answer your comment, messenger or Email, you will be disappointed. Expect to wait 24-48 hours.

4. If you do not want to support us financially, don't! That's your choice and when you threaten to pull your non-existent financial support because we declined your application, well, I will not even say what comes to my mind.

5. We are not the people to call if your cat does not feel well. Call your vet clinic please. There is nothing we can do. It is your cat and your responsibility. We are just here trying to help cats and kittens who do not have anyone caring for them.
