Hi Everyone!
My name is Mary Lukeman (formerly Mary Lomas), and I am the owner of Keppoch Kennels.
I am most often the person who is caring for your animal, or responding (often slowly) to phone calls, texts and messages on social media.
My biggest strength in this business is my love of animals. I have dedicated my life to caring for animals in a variety of ways. I grew up on a bit of a funny farm and from a very young age have loved pretty much every animal I’ve come in contact with (except snakes 🙈). From there I took a Business diploma from the Nova Scotia Agricultural College with a focus on horses. I took that diploma and worked on a horse farm for a number of years. From there I went back to the Agricultural College for my Vet Tech Diploma. I learned SO much working as a Vet Tech! Then after a few years I opened my own grooming business, and learned even more.
Now I am the wife of a patient man 😂 , a Mom of two incredible kids, and have a funny farm of my own - Horses, dogs, cats, chickens and occasionally pigs. I run two small businesses, a funny farm, a household and try to continue to advance my skills as an equestrian, so there is ALWAYS something to do! I still love animals as much as I did as a kid and feel I have a ton of experience!
My weakness is definitely responding to messages in a timely manner! I am a recovering procrastinator and am working at it everyday. If I don’t respond, please try again. I almost always have the best intentions of responding properly at a later time, and then forget. I promise your animals receive much better care than my inbox!
