The morning of this Sunday was especially gorgeous. The handlers and dogs exhibited remarkable proficiency today. We worked on recalls and sits, downs, and standing.
Looking forward to the nicer weather ahead.😊

Look who was overseeing the class today, the wise old owl Miss Marlee. She said everyone did excellent today! ❤️

Behind every well-trained dog is a handler asking,
“Wait… you want me to go through there too?” 😂🐾
Training days are filled with hard work, patience, teamwork, and plenty of laughs.
We love every second spent building stronger bonds with our pups.

☔🐾 Sunday Morning Week 5 Recap — Barrels of Fun! 🐾☔

Despite a little rain, yesterday morning was packed with high-stress reactivity training and barrels of fun! Each week we continue to push the limits, building confidence in both our dogs and handlers through stability obstacles and real-life stress scenarios.

This kind of training takes time, patience, and consistency — but once it clicks, the possibilities are endless and the adventures you can enjoy together are everywhere. 🐶✨

So proud of everyone’s hard work in Week 5!

Wednesday Night Drop in Program! When working through reactivity, eye contact, redirection, and timely correction are incredibly important. Just as important is slowing the process down. Breaking obstacles and exercises into smaller, manageable steps helps build confidence and trust. 🐶🩷

Week 2 of our Sunday Program is in the books! 🐾

Today we focused on close-contact interactions—learning how to maintain control, work through challenging moments, and help your dog understand that you’ve got things under control, so they don’t need to react.

We also continued building our recall, showing how important it is to incorporate it into other drills. Ending something stressful with a recall helps reinforce the idea of “when in doubt, run to your handler.” That trust is huge for your dog!

To add a little extra challenge today, we introduced barrels into the mix. Obstacles like these are a great way to practice navigating new or stressful situations while pairing them with your basic obedience skills—helping keep your dog calm, focused, and under control.

Every week you are building stronger communication, confidence, and a lasting bond between you and your dog. And we’re loving watching the progress!

Thanks for another awesome Sunday with us — we can’t wait to see everyone again next week! 🐕💪

🐾 Week 1 of Our 6-Week Sunday Training Program! 🐾

What a fantastic first day! It was so great to meet so many new faces (and pups 🐶) and also wonderful to see some of our returning clients back again.

Having a mix of new and returning teams is something we truly love about these programs. Our new clients not only get to hear our instructions, but they also get to see others actively putting the skills into practice. Watching dogs and handlers who are a few weeks ahead in their training is such a valuable way to see real progress in action — from those just starting out to our demo dogs showing where the journey can lead.

While we always enjoy demonstrating the end results, it’s even more rewarding to show the progression that happens along the way. Training is a journey, and we’re so thankful to our repeat clients and their amazing dogs for continuing that journey alongside us and helping welcome our newest members into the group.

Today we covered a lot of foundational skills, including:
✔️ Proper leash handling
✔️ Left and right turns
✔️ Sit, down, and stand
⭐ And most importantly — recall!

Remember to practice a few short training sessions each day. Work on your basic skills and always finish with a couple of recalls. Keep sessions short, positive, and always end on a success. As your dog improves, you can slowly increase both the time and expectations.

We can’t wait to see everyone back next Sunday! 🐾
