Meet Tina! 💛✨️

I had the pleasure of caring for Tina, and her sister Mocha (previous post), while their parents were away! 🚘🐾

Tina is a very sweet girl who loves to be pet on her head! She was on a round of eye drops for an eye issue when she arrived for her first stay. She would sit in a blanket in my lap soaking in all of the pets she could get while I put her drops in! She did a great job and is such a good girl! 💧

Tinas favourite pass time is being snuggled up in a blanket! She loves to feel warm and cozy. If I was giving out treats and Tina was already snuggled up, I would put her treat just outside of her blanket and wait. Her blanket would start to rustle around and she would sniff out her treat. She would quickly peak her head out to grab her treat and then immediately retract back into her blanket to eat it! 😆

I had a great time getting to know Tina, and I'm looking forward to her next stay! ❣️

Have you ever seen a chicken with a duckling before? 🤔

My oldest chicken Tilly, hatched her very own duckling! 🎊

Tillys flock gradually passed away as they aged, leaving her and her rooster as the last ones. Once her rooster passed away, Tillys old owner thought it would be best for her to go to a home with a flock so that she wouldn't be alone. Of course I had to take her in! 🐓🏡

Tilly was 5 years old when I got her, and she is now roughly 8 years old! She hobbles around as an old gal does, but she is happy and healthy and loves free ranging around the yard! 🌳

One of my young ducks, Shbaby, tried to brood for the first time this year! She got better at learning to stay on her nest, and then one day she was out and about like normal and never returned to her nest. I went to check on her nest to figure out what to do with it, when I discovered that Tilly had taken it over! She was keeping those eggs nice and warm, so I decided to wait and see what would happen. 👀

Sure enough, a few days later Tilly starting coming outside again... and she was followed by an adorable duckling! This is the only baby that hatched from this brood, and I think it is one of the most special things in the world! 🐣

It's adorable to see Tilly with a baby following her around (especially considering the fact that she hasn't laid eggs of her own in years), and to watch the baby treat her like it's their real mom! The baby will nibble on Tillys feathers, run under and around her, and sit underneath of her to stay warm! 💗

I've never seen a chicken with a duckling of her own before, and if you haven't either, now you have! I hope you get as much joy from this situation as I do! 🦆🥰

Meet Kujo! 🧡✨️

I had the pleasure of trimming this handsome fellas nails! 💅

Kujo is a nice boy, and he is also very smart! He did a great job for his first nail trim. Kujo was relaxed and allowed me to fly through his trim with mom by his side! 👏

For Kujos next trim, he tried to pull away constantly as he now knew what was happening and he decided that he didn't want to participate. With assistance from his human mom and brother, we were able to complete his trim! Afterwards Kujo enjoyed a delicious Happy Snoots treat! 😋

I had a great time meeting Kujo! Isn't his face so squishable? 💗

Meet Mocha! 💜✨️

I had the pleasure of hosting this cutie pie while her parents were away! 🚘

Mocha is a breed of Guinea Pig called a Skinny Pig, meaning she is mostly hairless! She loves to lay on soft blankets, and sometimes needs to be oiled when her skin starts to get dry. 🐾

Mocha is very sweet, and loves to be gently pet on her head or behind her ears! She also loves to watch everything that is going on around her, including watching my dogs (who also love to watch her)! 👀

Her favourite thing to do is snack on veggies! If Mocha had something that she thought was really good, she would take it to the cozy cave and eat with her snack protected inside of it so he sister couldn't try to steal it! 😆

I had a great time getting to know Mocha and am looking forward to hosting her again in the future! 💞
