Fun Fact Friday!

🦴 Your Dog Isn’t Picky -You’ve Taught Them to Be! 🦴

We hear it all the time: “My dog’s just a picky eater!”
But here’s the truth ….most “picky” eaters have learned that if they hold out long enough, something tastier will show up in their bowl.

Every time your dog refuses their meal and you add a bit of cheese, a splash of broth, or switch foods altogether, you’re teaching them that if they don’t eat, they’ll get something new. Before long, they’re waiting for the upgrade….not because they’re picky, but because they’ve learned that you’ll change the rules.

😮Sometimes they are just not hungry.
👉 Dogs thrive on consistency.
👉 Constantly changing or topping food doesn’t make their diet better, it often makes it unbalanced.
👉 Healthy dogs won’t starve themselves, they’ll eat when they’re hungry and trust their routine.

So if you have a balanced food, whether it’s raw, kibble, freeze dried or gently cooked and your dog’s skipping meals, take a step back before changing things up. You might be creating a problem that never needed to exist.

The dog isn’t the problem, the pattern is. ❤️🐾

We’ve had a last-minute cancellation in both our Obedience and Beginners Agility classes starting this Saturday, November 1st!

Does your dog have bad habits?
Lacking impulse control? Jumps on people, has zero boundaries, or barks and just doesn’t seem to listen?

Then this is the class for you! 🎓

We’ve had a last-minute cancellation in our Obedience Class starting this Saturday, November 1st at 10:30 AM — a perfect opportunity to work on focus, manners, and self-control in a fun, supportive environment.

👉 Beginners Agility – ideal for those who have completed classes with us before or have taken some Agility classes with us before and are ready to get back into the fun!

Each person has ONE VOTE ONLY!

Our amazing team has been busy getting creative for Howl-o-ween — and now it’s your turn to pick the winner! Each pumpkin in the photos below represents one of our staff members.

✨ How to vote:
React to your favorite pumpkin! Every 👍 or ❤️ counts as a vote for that staff member’s masterpiece.

👉 🎃🎃🎃Each person gets one vote — make it count!🎃🎃🎃

Ready to take the next step with your pup? Our next Beginners Agility Class starts

Saturday, November 1st with the following classes on November 15th, 22nd, and 29th — all at 8:00 AM here at Park Your Paws!

We currently have one spot available for someone who has previously completed our Obedience Class.

This 4-week program is a great way to build confidence, strengthen your teamwork, and have a ton of fun together!
