🩶 Meet Daphne Duck! 🦆

At approximately 15 years old and standing at 10.2hh, Daphne is a sweet little dapple grey with a whole new chapter ahead of her here at SFE!

Daphne arrived with some challenges affecting her feet and overall comfort after being placed on grass, which unfortunately caused her to founder. Our veterinarian has taken X-rays since her arrival, and we’ll be working hard to improve her hoof health and help her feel her best.

Once she’s feeling more comfortable, we hope to gradually introduce Daphne to our young rider programs, always keeping her abilities and comfort in mind. With no previous training, she has lots of new things to learn, and we’re excited to see how she progresses with time, patience, and plenty of care.

We’re looking forward to watching Daphne settle into her new home and seeing where this next chapter takes her! 🩶🐴

If you didn’t know her name before, now you do 😂💛

🌟 Meet Stella Ella Olla!

Is she even real?! 😍💛

At approximately 15 years old and standing at just 9.1 hh, Stella is a beautiful palomino pony and the tiniest pony currently calling SFE home! With her gorgeous golden coat and adorable little face, she looks like she stepped straight out of a children’s storybook. ✨

Stella is such a lovely addition to our young rider programs, and we’re so excited to have this little golden girl as part of the SFE family. We have a feeling she’s going to steal plenty of hearts! 🥰🐴💛

🐴 Meet the Horse Monday: Raven! 🤎

Hi everyone, Raven here! 👋

I’m an Appendix Quarter Horse mare, somewhere between 15 and 20 years old, and I came to Smiling Faces from Briarwood Farm after their lesson barn closed.

Since arriving, I’ve been settling in wonderfully and I have to say… I’m pretty happy here! I love my quiet trail rides around the farm, getting out to see what’s going on, spending time with the riders, and of course, getting lots of love and attention. 🤎

I’m a sweet and gentle girl, and I’m always happy to make a new friend. I’m also a BIG fan of treats, so if you happen to have one in your hand… there’s a very good chance I’ve already noticed. 👀🍎

I’ve been enjoying getting to know everyone and becoming part of the Smiling Faces family. There are lots of new things to explore, lots of people to meet, and plenty of snacks to be discovered!

I’m very happy to be here and can’t wait to see what adventures are next. 🐴🤎

— Love, Raven

🌶️ Learn a little more about one of our newer SFE family members, Chili Pepper! ❤️

Chili Pepper is an approximately 17-year-old, 10.3hh liver chestnut pony with a small size and a mighty personality! 🌶️🐴

Chili came to us from a home where she wasn’t properly cared for or treated with the respect she deserved. Because of her past experiences, she can be nervous at times, but she has settled into life here at SFE remarkably well.

One of our favourite things about Chili is that she loves to snicker to get your attention! 🥹 It’s her own special way of saying hello, and we love seeing more of her personality come out as she gets comfortable here.

She may be little, but Chili is definitely mighty! ❤️ We’re so happy to have her as part of the SFE family and can’t wait to watch her continue to build confidence and enjoy this next chapter.
