Pet of the week this week is Mr. Farley 🥳🐾 Bio and photos sent in from Farleys mom.💙Farley is a rescue Siberian husky X. He is 4 years old and lives with his 14 year old adopted brother Rocky, also a Siberian rescue. Farley is a very energetic, fun-loving, adventurous dog. He loves to explore the trails daily with his friend, Loki (a black lab) and Rocky. Loki taught Farley to go into water every chance he gets! When Farley goes out for walks it's full-on rocketship mode - running and then jumping over other dogs as hurdles! His favourite toy is anything that is squeaky or that some other dog might be playing with at the moment. Farley carries the husky trait of being vocal both in play with friends and when greeting his favourite people with a big"awhooo." 😂 .Initially, when Farley joined the family, he was in constant "flight mode," resulting in him running away from home, sometimes several times a day. I had to chase after him and get help from others to corral him. Now, after a couple of years, he rarely runs away, or at least, doesn't go as far away! Farley brings lots of adventure and personality to our household. Farley gets very excited when he gets to go visit his friends at Just About Pets. He is jumping out of the car and running to the door as fast as he can. It is definitely one of his highlights for the week. Farley is very lucky in that every day he gets to head out on some sort of an adventure, finding trails along the d**e, going up mountain bike trails up McKee, Ledgeview, Downs bowl, anywhere there is adventure.
He keeps me very busy and on alert!
