Here are a few reasons we highly recommend delayed spay and neuter in dachshunds! Best to wait until at least 12-18 months before taking away the important hormones needed for them to fully mature.

Editing to add: Delayed spay and neuter does not mean your dog will not develop these issues. It CAN help REDUCE the likelihood of your dog developing these issues.

Just caught Betty with her head stuck in an empty chocolate chip bag 🤣👀 I called her name and I actually ran past her upstairs thinking that she was just another stuffed animal at the bottom of the stairs. When I came down, I noticed her and she just froze, like ‘what chocolate?’

Luckily, she’s a good girl and didn’t eat a single chip! 🍪🐶 She found the bag empty and must of loved the smell… I love chocolate too Betty!!!
