This week's winning question comes from Paula Webber and her handsome Appenzeller, Gus. While Gus clearly understands command discrimination, he sometimes creeps forward during position changes.

In this video, I share 3 simple strategies to help maintain a solid stationary position:
✔️ Only reward correct responses
✔️ Reinforce from behind
✔️ Use clear physical feedback to define position

These tips can make a big difference for dogs who know the exercise but need a little more precision and impulse control. Watch the video and let me know if you've dealt with creeping in your own training!

Anna Herzog made history as the first handler to compete at the highest level in both KC and FCI Obedience, qualifying twice for Crufts and representing 🇬🇧Great Britain at the FCI Obedience World Championships. With more than 20 years of experience in dog training, behaviour, and competitive obedience, Anna is internationally respected for her thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to training.

Anna began her journey working with reactive and challenging dogs before expanding into advanced competitive training. Over the past 15 years, she has taught seminars around the world and has played a leading role in introducing FCI Obedience to the UK.

Known for her clear instruction, strong handler mechanics, and practical training systems, Anna helps teams build precision, confidence, and understanding while keeping training engaging and enjoyable for both dog and handler.
