Lyric's trying to figure out what's going on. I told her this is where she'll have her babies and where she'll be for the four weeks after she has them, and, as you can tell from the side eye, she is contemplating her life choices. Lol!

I put one blanket in there, and I'm going to put a bed on the other side so she can move away from the heat lamp if she wants to after the pups are born. I still have the pig rails to put in the whelping box, but I might wait until she's done whelping and then I will.

Now, I must sit on the couch beside her and get her used to being in the whelping box. I'm happy I got a couch with a lounger, so I can lie down if I want to sleep while she gets used to being in it, and after she has her puppies. It's going to be cool chillaxing with my girl and her little ones. I'm also bringing my 82-inch TV downstairs so I can watch some shows.

Life is good.

Jumping Jahosafats is Lyric getting big! She's got three weeks to go and is already this big. What's she going to look like before she whelps? My poor girl, she won't leave my side. Soon, my Woof, you'll have your babies to care for. She's such a beautiful girl.

Lyric is so prudy. Pregnancy looks good on this here Rottweiler. My pugs, Grunt and Cashew, had to totally photobomb the photos; the brats figured they should get in the spotlight, too. LOL.

Have I told y'all how much I love my beautiful doggie? I am beyond blessed and thank Diana, her breeder, for allowing my Woof to join my fur kid family.

These two photographs of Lyric were taken a week apart. Woof is four and a half weeks pregnant, and I am starting to notice a belly on her. I am becoming increasingly excited and eagerly anticipate meeting the new puppies. Hopefully, next year I will be in the show ring with my new fur baby. The puppy I keep, if it does well in the ring, I plan to campaign it in Canada and get its American Championship. After all, it will be my breeding, so it will carry my kennel name 'Vaccaro'. Puppies are expected to arrive between September 21st-23rd, 2025. Good times ahead.

I used to cook my dog's food like this back in the 80's and 90's, and they loved it as a treat with their dry food twice a week. I think I might start cooking like this for them again because they are my fur babies and deserve a treat with their food again twice a week. Nothing is too good for my brats.

Two big batches of dog food in the works
This is what’s in each batch …

3 lbs ground chicken or turkey
2 lbs chicken livers
12 eggs
1 cup coconut oil
1 16oz bag brown rice
1 large container old fashioned oats
1 bag chopped broccoli frozen
1 bag peas frozen
1 bag chopped spinach frozen
1 small bag carrots frozen
4 large sweet potatoes
4 apples

Sometimes I’ll add additional things like blueberries, venison, or beef liver depending on what I’ve got around the house.

This Rottweiler Is Awesome!

Gunner's exceptionally gorgeous and intelligent boy, Vai, is achieving great success at a mere 9 months old, with multiple titles to his name already. Atta boy, Vai, you're doing your owner, Lisa, and breeder Carol proud.

I am so excited about my possible Gunner and Lyric babies! The anticipation is killing me to find out if my Woof is pregnant or not. Not only will the puppies be gorgeous, they will be super intelligent too. The one I keep is going to do it all at the dog shows and as a working dog.

Lyric has been bred to Gunner. Yay! The puppies are expected to arrive around the end of September. I'm so excited and cannot wait to meet the little stinkers.

I expect this litter will produce typey heavy b***d dogs of correct temperament with gorgeous structure and beautiful heads.

WOW! Dalton was from my last litter of Rottweiler puppies, which were produced under my kennel name 'Vaccaro' thirteen years ago. His sire was a Von Ruelmann dog, and his dam was my breeding; I just can't remember off the top of my head who his sire is. It's been a long time since I've had a litter of Rottie babies. I sure miss him. I wish these photos of him were clearer. Dalton was definitely a handsome boy.

Lyric's gorgeous face always guarantees victory in the epic battles between owner and dog. I love how my Woof is a total poser and always flashes a cheesy grin for the camera. She's such a goofball. I caught her in the act, rolling around in the grass like a lunatic, and snapped this photo when she got up. I'm utterly obsessed with this ridiculously ridiculous Rottweiler right here.

Here at Vaccaro, we strive to produce quality puppies that will develop into, confident and beautiful Rottweilers without compromise in health or temperament. We have been involved with showing dogs for many years, before starting with Dobermans in the 70s.

We always breed with the betterment of the breed in mind, screening for hereditary diseases and researching pedigrees thoroughly to find the best dogs for our breeding program. We are passionate about our breed and committed to helping them by entering our dogs in the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) and the Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) database.

All of our Rottweilers live inside our home, and this is where we raise our babies as well. They are showered with all of the love and attention that our Rottweilers enjoy. Our puppies are socialized with people (big and small) and other animals, and just like our adult Rottweilers they are beloved family members before anything else. We’ll only breed when we’re looking for a new show dog and companion and we identify a good match for one of our girls.

We will place puppies we don’t plan to show in carefully screened companion homes, and we will remain available to the new family for the puppy’s lifetime. Good breeders breed for a purpose and to better the breed. Each generation trying to improve on the one before. How? By health testing their breeding dogs and breeding Rottweilers that conform to the breed standard.
