⚠️ 𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐄 𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐄 – 𝐑𝐞́𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐬 𝐏𝐎𝟒 𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐀 𝐇𝐈𝟕𝟕𝟒⚠️
Chers clients,
Suite à plusieurs contrôles effectués directement dans notre magasin avec différents checkers PO4, ainsi que plusieurs vérifications en parallèles via analyses ICP laboratoire, nous pouvons confirmer un problème important sur certains lots de réactifs PO4 Hanna Checker HI774.
Lots concernés (chez nous)
• 1316
• 1350
• 1352
Les réactifs présentent une couleur anormale (non blanche), alors qu’un réactif normal doit être 100 % blanc. Cette anomalie peut provoquer des écarts de plus de 0,1 ppm PO4 positif et entraîner des corrections inadaptées mettant les coraux en danger.
Nous conseillons d’éviter toute correction brutale du PO4 et de nous contacter en cas de doute.
Les lots concernés achetés chez nous seront remplacés directement dans notre magasin.
Nous n’avons actuellement aucune information permettant de savoir si ce problème concerne uniquement les réactifs reçus chez nous ou s’il s’agit d’un problème plus global. Hanna Instruments est également informé de la situation et tente actuellement d’identifier précisément la cause de l’oxydation du réactif.
Nous nous excusons par ailleurs pour ce désagrément et remercions nos clients pour leur confiance et leur compréhension.
La fiabilité des paramètres étant essentielle en récifal ainsi que notre transparence, nous préférons vous informer rapidement afin d’éviter tout risque pour vos aquariums.

Dear customers,
Following several tests carried out directly in our store using different PO4 checkers, as well as multiple parallel verifications through ICP laboratory analyses, we can confirm a significant issue affecting certain batches of Hanna Checker HI774 PO4 reagents.
Affected batches (in our store):
• 1316
• 1350
• 1352
The reagents show an abnormal color (not pure white), whereas a normal reagent should be 100% white. This anomaly may cause deviations of more than +0.1 ppm PO4 and could lead to inappropriate corrections, potentially putting corals at risk.
We strongly advise against making any sudden PO4 corrections and encourage you to contact us if you have any doubts.
Affected batches purchased from us will be replaced directly in our store.
At this time, we do not yet know whether this issue only affects the reagents received by us or if it is a more widespread problem. Hanna Instruments has also been informed of the situation and is currently trying to precisely identify the cause of the reagent oxidation.
