Three cheers for Kise!

Today Kise completed his chemotherapy, six months after a diagnosis of osteosarcoma. This tumor of the bone is unfortunately common in Rottweilers - luckily for Kise his was a very unusual presentation in his metacarpal bone. He had a metacarpal resection which avoided a full leg amputation and following histopathological confirmation we started a chemotherapy regime. He has had chemotherapy by intravenous administration every month for the last six months.

Not every cancer responds well to chemotherapy but in certain cases we are able to perform it and give him the best possible outcome!
