When excessive licking becomes a concern.

In this video, Dr. Walton checks on Mr. Sparkle, a senior dog whose owner noticed frequent licking of his more sensitive areas and wanted to be sure everything was okay. Changes like this can sometimes signal discomfort, especially in older pets.

A gentle reminder to check in on your dogs as they age and keep their comfort a priority. πŸ’š

A fascinating and rare case. 🐾

Nala came to us after a fight and needed stitches to repair her eyelid. During her examination, Dr. Walton discovered something unexpected. Nala was born with a rare condition known as atresia ani.

Cases like this remind us how important thorough physical examinations are, even when a pet comes in for something that seems unrelated. While this condition can be serious, early detection and proper veterinary care make a real difference in understanding what lies ahead for a pet and their family.

Viewer discretion advised. This video is not graphic, but it does show stitches and some bodily fluids.

Just like humans, guinea pigs cannot make their own vitamin C. 🐹🍊

Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is essential for guinea pigs to stay healthy. Without enough of it, they can develop serious health issues over time.

Some signs of vitamin C deficiency in guinea pigs can include:
β€’ lethargy or weakness
β€’ loss of appetite
β€’ rough or poor coat condition
β€’ swollen joints or difficulty moving
β€’ slow healing or frequent illness

In this video, Dr. Walton explains why vitamin C matters and how diet plays a role. If you are ever unsure whether your guinea pig is getting enough, or if you notice any of these symptoms, reach out to us. We are always happy to help guide you and your pet. πŸ’š

Got a puppy for Christmas? 🐢

Now is the perfect time to start dog training. Puppies learn quickly when they are young, and early training helps build good habits, confidence, and a happier home.

Say bye to eaten shoes, ripped up furniture, and selective hearing. Training builds a puppy who understands you, adapts to your home, and sees you as a trusted leader.

Say hi to Dr. David Walton and Shanika Thompson from . They are sitting with Brock, whose smile says it all. Training helps dogs grow into calm, happy companions with smiles just as bright as his. πŸ’š
