Week 3 spooky things (desensitising exercices) . Anything that you think your horse is not going to like rubbish bin, tarp, flags, sudden movement. As I have had a life gets in the way moment I will continue going through the exercises from week 1 and 2 to insure my horses are not stiff and still listening to me.

Week2 my aim is to add more exercises, the backup, follow a feel and stand at the mounting block. The exercises I started in week 1 head and neck, moving the shoulders and the hindquarters are going well . Iam are working on more fluid movement.

Week 1 my aim is to start moving my horses to loosen them up, the first exercise is moving the head and neck, then the shoulders and hindquarters. Once they can do these exercises on both sides with no to little resistance then I ask them to move on a circle in both directions, again if they are moving well I then add some trotting poles which help there top line, they carry themselves, and have to place there feet.

Hi all, if your anything like me getting back into the saddle after a brake isn't as easy as it sounds. (For whatever reason, I refer it to life getting in the way.) As we all know we don't bounce as we get older, we tend to crack and or brake (ouch), and for most of us our fitness and confidence isn't what it used to be, so our priority has to be safety. Not only for ourselves and our horse but also for our life's commitments, work, family, health, etc. So hopefully I can share some of the things I've learnt along the way to help you and your horse experience a safe and enjoyable relationship. I hope you will join me on this journey.

My beautiful girl Ella, some fun warm-ups in preparation for what's to come. Notice how relaxed and easygoing I am with her while enjoying some fun with her.

This shows the relationship you can build with your own horses.
