๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ง ๐Ÿ PROUD FATHER MOMENT! Maisie helps me release her first snake! ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿ

- Keep a close eye out for her face when she notices! ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ‘€

Poor little fella got caught up in some bird netting in a shed. Luckily he hadn't been intertwined too long and were able to arrive and intervene quickly.

After a check up at the zoo he was cleared for release that afternoon.

Hope everyone is keeping safe in this wild weather!

Cheers Jordan ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ

A beautiful little Common Tree Snake relocated from the Peachester store early this morning.

Snakes are well and truly on the move at the moment after being displaced by the recent floods!
Not only do our houses offer us a nice dry place to retreat to but also our wildlife.
Keep your eyes out and be patient with our native critters. We are all in this together.

Cheers Jordan ๐Ÿ

Snake inside a families wall! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ

Snakes sure do get themselves into some interesting places. This snake managed to get himself inside a families home where he then found a way into the wall cavity!

Rightly so the family wanted him out by any means nessassary, so that ment removing the tin sheets from the exterior of their home. Thank goodness we managed to eventually locate the little tacker and could shift him back out into some local bushland!

Hope everyone has enjoyed a well earned break over the holiday period and is looking forward to a good year!

Cheers Jordan ๐Ÿ

๐ŸฆŽ Baby Maisie helps me release baby Blue Tongue Lizards ! ๐ŸฆŽ

These gorgeous baby blue tongues were rescued by Wildlife Rescue Sunshine Coast last week after a dog attacked their mother!

Luckily the mother had done an awesome job of growing these beautiful little guys and they were clearly not far off being laid naturally. This ment that after a quick check up at the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital we were able to release them back out into the wild!

As well as doing a job that I love, I am also so privileged to be able to show my beautiful baby girl my passion and hopefully inspire her to do great things for our wildlife! ๐Ÿฅฐ

Also thankyou to Snake Catcher Northern Rivers 24/7 for Maisies awesome shirt! She loves it!

๐Ÿ๐Ÿฆ Is your avairy "Snake Proof"? ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ

These birds will be counting their lucky stars after last night's encounter. This fella was only a meter away from their aviaries when the family dog alerted the owner!

Often aviaries and enclosures are sold as "Snake Proof", when this is not the case.
This is exactly the reason it is so important to make sure your bird and pet aviaries are snake safe!

This snake could have very easily made his way into the enclosures pictured behind. Snakes are opportunistic feeders so when a meal is presented they don't often pass up the offer!

Snakes will even go as far as bending these wires to gain entry into the enclosures.
As pictures below, a snake had managed to jam himself through the wire to gain entry to the Guinea Pigs inside. Unfortunaly 2 were consumed, but we were able to arrive in time to save the third!

If you have any queries on weather your enclosures is "Snake Proof" or not our inbox is always open. So please, feel free to send us a message and we can work together to keep your cuddly creatures safe! ๐Ÿฅฐ

๐ŸIts not very often that we are greeted at the front door by a snake waiting to be picked up but this was the case in Meridan Plains today! ๐Ÿ

Just a friendly reminder that at this time of year we will see more snakes hatching and are out and about and on the move.

Its a common misconception that if you find a baby snake mum will be close by, which is simply not true. Snakes are not maternal and they are born with all the skills for survival and are left after birth.

Keep your eyes open for the next generation of our scaley friends and remember we are always available on 0408030881.
Enjoy your weekend,
Cheers Jordan ๐Ÿ
