Often brushed off as “they’re just being lazy”, “they missed it”, or “they’re slowing down” - but hesitation or reluctance to jump can be a subtle sign your pet is in pain.

Jumping requires strength, stability, and confidence. When something doesn’t feel right, many pets will avoid it altogether or hesitate before taking off.

If you’ve noticed your pet no longer jumping onto the couch, into the car, or up steps like they used to, it’s worth getting it checked.

We have been BUSY lately - plenty of brand new cases, graduates reaching the finish line, and those we’re helping stay comfortable and mobile for as long as possible 💙

One of the best parts of what we do is seeing our patients become more comfortable, start using their limbs again (!!!), regain confidence, and get back to being themselves. Those moments never get old.

Of course, it hasn’t all been serious business… there’s been plenty of playtime too. We’ve gone through copious amounts of peanut butter this week 😂

We’re flat out at the moment, but we wouldn’t change it for the world. Every busy day means more pets getting the chance to live longer, happier, more comfortable, pain-free lives - and that’s exactly why we do it.

Rehabilitation doesn’t always mean intense exercises or long sessions - sometimes, the smallest, most controlled movements can have the biggest impact. These techniques help maintain joint mobility, stimulate muscle activity, and support the body as it heals.

Without the right guidance, pets can lose muscle mass, strength, and confidence surprisingly quickly during periods of rest or recovery. That’s where rehabilitation plays such an important role - bridging the gap between injury and a safe return to normal function.

Every plan is tailored to the individual patient, ensuring they’re supported at every stage of their recovery journey 🤍

Sometimes the signs are subtle.

If your pet seems a little “off”, maybe they are more withdrawn, clingy, irritable, or even reactive. This could be their way of telling you they’re uncomfortable.

Pain may not always look obvious, but behaviour changes are often the first clue.

Trust your instincts and if something feels different, it’s worth checking in 🐾

Today we pause to remember.

The courage, the sacrifice, and the lives, both human and animal, that have shaped the world we live in.
