The Swan Animal Haven rescues and cares for abandoned dogs until compassionate homes can be found.

We advocate the sterilisation of ALL dogs and hope that one day we will not need to be here. We are a charitable organisation, with a large and essential volunteer contribution. We are funded by donations, bequests and other fund-raising activities. Volunteers and donations of money, food and bedding are always welcome.

Still no interest is this sweet girl 💔

Gorgeous Holly has now been with us for 10 months and we truly can’t understand how no one has fallen for her yet🥺

This 6-year-old Bull Mastiff mix is pure sunshine in dog form ☀️ she has the sweetest smile and the happiest nature.

Holly enjoys her playtime (especially zoomies) but she’s just as happy enjoying slower, relaxed days at home with her humans.

For the right family, Holly will be a loyal, loving companion that you quickly can’t imagine life without.

Holly has so much love to give… she’s just waiting for her chance 💔

This 3-year-old Shar Pei mix has the biggest smile, the goofiest personality, and SO much love to give. Memphis is convinced he’s a lap dog and lives for cuddles.

These beautiful girls have both come to us (separately) through no fault of their own, and they’re hoping that their new families are not too far away ✨

Elle is a 4 year old GSD, she is a sweet friendly girl with a calm nature. She loves human affection and despite her size will happily climb into your lap for a cuddle ❤️

Roxy is a 7 year old GSD x Kelpie, who is incredibly loyal and yearns for love. This girl is super smart, super affectionate and so deserving of a home that will appreciate her fully ✨

Kane is a 3 year old staffy mix who can’t wait to be a loyal companion to a loving family. This friendly boy absolutely adores people and quickly wins over everyone he meets with his affectionate nature and goofy charm✨

Kai has found her perfect forever family 🥰 and she’s so happy she put paws to paper and wrote us a letter telling us all about her adventures, and her wonderful new life ✨

Thank you so much to John, Angela, and big brother Rocky for giving this lovely girl the life she deserves… and more!! ❤️

A very special introduction for 3 very special boys, Alvin 🧡 Simon 💙 and Theodore 💛

The chipmunks are 2.5 year old kelpie crosses with the sweetest natures and adorable gentle personalities.

These 3 brothers have come from a VERY sheltered background, with no love and minimal human contact 💔
They are slowly opening up and learning to trust people and they are looking for homes that will help them on their journey to be the incredible dogs we know they will be ❤️

💔 Billa almost didn’t make it to the Haven 💔

When her owner moved overseas, they took this beautiful 11-year-old Staffy to the vet, and tried to have her euthanised😡
Thankfully, she was given a second chance instead 🧡

Billa is incredibly loving and affectionate, but she isn’t coping in the shelter environment. Our volunteers do everything they can to give her comfort and love, but nothing compares to having a home and family of her own ❤️‍🩹

All Billa wants is a warm place to curl up beside her people and feel safe, loved, and wanted forever 🐾

Billa has been given a second chance — now she just needs someone to give her a forever home. Let’s not let that chance go to waste.

💔 A NO-SHOW FOR TOMMY 😞

Poor Tommy got all excited for his meeting this weekend, he waited, and waited… but they never showed 😞

Not only is this disappointing for Tommy but also for us!! We are primarily volunteer run and so we are appointment only. This means one of few spaces we have for meet and greets is wasted 💔

Tommy got some extra love and treats this weekend to cheer him up, but he’s still hoping that there’s a perfect home out there for him ✨

✅ Tommy is dog friendly and could be rehomed with a strong confident dog.
❌ Tommy cannot be rehomed with cats
❌ Tommy cannot be rehomed with kids
