☀️ Summer ☀️
Summer is on its way - and so are some seasonal pet emergencies!
As we head into November and the warmer months, it’s important to remember that summer can bring a few extra risks for our furry friends 🐾
From heatstroke and snake bites, to grass seeds and accidental ingestion of summer treats, our pets can find themselves in trouble when we least expect it.
A few simple precautions that can make a big difference -
☀️ Keep pets cool, hydrated and out of the heat
🐍 Be mindful of snakes and long grass when out exploring
🐾 Check paws, ears and coats for grass seeds after outdoor adventures
🍖 Keep BBQ scraps, bones and toxic foods out of reach
🚙 Never leave your pet unattended in a hot car - even for a short time
Knowing the signs of an emergency and acting quickly can make all the difference. If your pet seems unwell or you suspect they’ve eaten something they shouldn’t have, contact us promptly for advice 💙
