A big welcome to Nurse Liv who has recently joined our team. Nurse Liv is a Certificate IV Level qualified vet nurse and loves all aspects of nursing, from making sure your pet is comfortable ( like “Tosca” here) through to helping answer any questions you may have. She is a passionate animal lover and her addition to already the best nursing team around fills us with joy!

True or False?

• Pomeranians are the smallest of the Spitz-type breeds and are related to Samoyds and Siberian Huskies?
• Famous Pomeranian owners include Queen Victoria and Mozart?
• 2 of the 3 dogs that survived the Titanic sinking were Pomeranians?
The answer to all 3 questions is true! Such a cool little dog 🐾

A big bienvenido (welcome) to Vet Federico who has joined our team in a full-time capacity. After moving from Argentina where he worked as an emergency veterinarian, Vet Federico has also done more advanced surgical training. He has joined our team in a nursing capacity, assisting our vets and nurses keep the high level standards of care in our busy practice ( just like by helping beautiful “Layla” who came in today). We know you will make Federico feel welcome and we are very happy he now calls Ulladulla home!

SUNDAY SAYINGS 🦉

“Clumsy yet powerful, pandas prove you can wobble and still hold extraordinary quiet strength.”

— Unknown

Pandas symbolize peace, balance, gentleness and inner strength and this is precisely why a panda was chosen to welcome everyone to our vet hospital. Sometimes you may walk in for happy reasons, sometimes for sad ones. Our team, our clients, our values and our choices - they can be both gentle AND strong, just like a panda ❤️

Staffordshire Bull Terriers were originally bred in the UK in the 1800s by crossing bulldogs and terriers and were used for hunting bears, pigs and for other blood sports. Now, despite this negative original stigma, the focus is very much on them as a loved family pet. They are generally loyal and affectionate family companions, just like “Anzac” and “Kala”. Perhaps their most unusual characteristic is the range of noises they make- high pitch snorts, squeaks and squeals. We can certainly tell when a Staffy walks through our door!

SUNDAY SAYINGS 🦉

“Loving animals means loving all animals, not just the ones we share our homes with.”

-Anon

Respect, commitment and making a difference are our team’s 3 core values and this extends to every animal ( and human!) that walks through our door. Nurse Ash adores her staffy, bull terrier, dachshund and horses but the love extends to all animals, including these chihuahua cherubs! So sweet 🩷
