A huge congratulations to Nursing Assistant Bahlie, who was announced Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander Student of the Year at a gala presentation at Shellharbour last night for the NSW Training Awards. Nurse Ash and Nurse Erin represented our team as I was on call, but on behalf of us all, well done Bahlie! I have have supervised many students over the years but never officially had a “trainee” under my wing. You are a credit to your family, a valuable addition to our profession and, most importantly, you should be mighty proud of yourself!

“Tiggy” is a very handsome Dandie Dinmont, a small Scottish dog breed. Wikipedia describes them as “friendly but tough, with short legs and a distinctive top knot of hair”…….. just like Nurae Erin!

Evem on the rare occasion that it may seem quiet in our waiting area ( yes, we agree, very rare!) you just never know what is happening in our treatment area. Some days it may be all hands on deck dealing with a dire emergency, on others it might be a gentle snuggle of the surgery patients. Today, it was a presentation about a new anti itch medication to help relieve the suffering of many dogs. Dr Rachel, Dr Romi, Dr Andrea, Dr Megan and Dr Andrew were joined by Mauro and Federico, who both gained veterinary degrees in Argentina, for the discussion. It is vital to keep learning about latest advances to be able to best help you and y your pet;

Dr Naomi is off on long service leave, taking a very well deserved break with her family. We are so grateful for the many years of hard work and thank her for her extraordinary veterinary skills, her ability to forge such enduring relationships with clients, her mentorship of others and overall support of our vet hospital. Dr Naomi is truly valued by all who know her, inside and out of work. We hope she has the best time….. she just better bloody come back! 😜🤣😘 May the smiles be glowing and the Pimm’s a-flowing! Hello there, my name is Emmy. A special person or family is wanted to make me happy again. Unfortunately, my mum just passed away. I have had the best spoilt life and am such a good girl that I deserve it to continue like that! I am 9 years old, in good health and up to date with vaccinations. I will have my teeth cleaned by personally before I go to my new home and will come with 12 months of tick, flea and worming medication.

If you could please help find Emmy a beautiful home, we would truly appreciate it. Her mum was a very dear regular client and we know Emmy still has so much love to give. Please DM us if you think you could be Emmy’s new family 😻😻😻
