Watch me stack a trailer load of pumpkins for our piggies that was kindly donated by a local pumpkin farmer.

Each morning every single heartbeat gets a welfare check and with the horses having 27 acres to graze on we give them a treat first thing in the morning to encourage them to meet us at the fence rather than going for a walk to find them.

They all know where I hide the treats and Diego was trying hard to get a little bit extra.

Looks like Lilah has figured out how to open a gate so first job tomorrow is changing the chain so she can't get into Al's area.

The goaties were definitely enjoying the fresh grass but they need to stay in there designated paddocks for their safety and the safety of others.

We're part of Truffles' herd and she loves to interact with us and especially likes the nub of her missing ear to be gentley rubbed.

๐Ÿ’š We Need Your Support This July ๐Ÿ’š

Currently,we've only sold 3 tickets for this month's sanctuary tour.

As much as we'd love to run every tour regardless of numbers, the reality is that a tour this small actually costs us more than it raises. Between preparing the sanctuary, coordinating volunteers, spending hours guiding the tour, and providing everything needed to make it a memorable experience, we need tours to be as close to full as possible for them to be a worthwhile fundraiser.

And that's such a shame, because our tours aren't just about raising funds.

They're about giving people the chance to experience farm animals in a way most never have.

๐Ÿท Have you ever wondered what a pig's nose feels like?
๐Ÿซ Ever wanted to cuddle a donkey?
๐Ÿฎ Want to stand beside a gentle 900kg cow and realise just how curious and affectionate they can be?
๐Ÿฆ† Meet ducks with huge personalities.
๐Ÿ Watch cheeky goats make you laugh.
โค๏ธ Hear the incredible stories of resilience, survival and second chances behind more than 70 rescued residents.

For two hours, you'll step into their world. You'll learn why sanctuaries matter, why every animal is an individual, and why so many of our visitors leave saying they'll never look at farm animals the same way again.

Whether you're an animal lover, looking for a unique family outing, or simply curious about what life at a farm animal sanctuary is really like, we'd love to welcome you.

๐Ÿ“… Sunday 19 July
๐Ÿ•™ 10:00am โ€“ 12:00pm
โ˜• Optional vegan refreshments available after the tour.

If you've been thinking about booking, please don't wait. Your ticket doesn't just buy you a wonderful morningโ€”it helps provide food, veterinary care and lifelong sanctuary for the animals who call Cranky's FARM home.

๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ Book here:

And if you can't make it this month, sharing this post could help us reach someone who can. Thank you for supporting our residents. ๐Ÿ’š

This is Silverwing of the Dr Dragon flock, first of his name, letting all the other roosters know that this is his spot.

Roosters crow for a number of reasons but in this case Silverwing is crowing as a territorial announcement that this is his territory. You can hear many of the other roosters crowing back, some close and some in the distance.

Roosters have a natural cicardian rhythm that means they're awake before the sunrise and like human males, they also have a testosterone surge in the morning.

I got a lot of love from Chewie this morning ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Plenty of licks, yawns (so many yawns!), sighs and pats.

Chewie is sensitive and empathetic and loves to initiate close, one on one interactions that reinforce our bond.

And sometimes I manage to catch the silly little moments that happen!

It breaks my heart that before he came to us, Chewie was a victim of abuse and starvation.

๐Ÿ’” URGENT: Can You Help Us Save This Tiny Life? ๐Ÿ’”

This beautiful little girl is just three days old and was born with a congenital defect affecting both of her hind legs. Her veterinarian believes the tendons and ligaments are severely contracted, leaving her unable to properly straighten or stand on them.

Despite this, she's bright, drinks her bottle every four hours and is determined to stand.

Sadly, the person currently caring for her is unable to continue due to their own health issues. If another suitable option cannot be found, she will have to be euthanised.

Many of you will remember Spring, who was born with the same condition affecting all four legs. After months of rehabilitation, she now enjoys a wonderful quality of life. Every case is different, but this little girl deserves the same chance.

Although we're already at capacity and can't take on another permanent resident, we can helpโ€”but only if we have the community support to do so responsibly.

If we can secure around $150 per month in ongoing donations, we'll bring her to Cranky's FARM and begin her rehabilitation, provide the care she needs and work towards finding her the perfect forever home once she's ready.

This would be a temporary rehabilitation placementโ€”not a permanent home.

Alternatively, if someone is willing to take her on themselves, we'd love to hear from you. We're more than happy to mentor you through her rehabilitation, share everything we learned with Spring and help give this little girl the best possible chance.

If you'd be willing to pledge $5, $10 or $20 a month, or think you could provide a loving home for her, please get in touch as soon as possible.

Sometimes saving a life isn't about one person doing something extraordinary. It simply takes a community coming together to give one tiny soul the chance she deserves. ๐Ÿ’š
