Yanven Kelpies

We’re having a casual trip home after the National Yard Dog Championships and the National Kelpie Field Trial Championship and would like to thank everyone who played any part in running the trials at Dirranbandi.
The atmosphere was great. I met new people, saw a lot of good dogs I hadn’t seen before and a different yard design that will have me doing some home work.
We made the top 30 in the Australian Yard Dog Championships finishing 18th and placed 5th in the National Kelpie Trial. The most pleasing and surprising thing was my first round score was 89 which was the second highest score for the entire trial. I don’t think anyone was as surprised as me.
Congratulations to Aoidh Doyle on winning the Australian Yard Dog Championship and Adam James on winning the National Kelpie Trial.
A big thank you to Jono and Tania Pillow who very generously sponsored us with fuel money.
