Welcome to Beagle Rescue NSW, Skye!

With huge thanks to a number of people, including Cherie, Jacqui and Julie, the help of the incredible Denise at Paws Inc. and the staff at the shelter, the older beagle girl from Hawkesbury Companion Animal Shelter has joined the BRN family.

We don’t know too much about her as yet, though the staff have said she is friendly and talkative (sounds typical for a beagle 🥹).

Please note she is not available for adoption as yet. She’ll need some time to get settled, vet checked and start getting her bikini body back. But she is safe and she’s got a wonderful team in her corner now.

I’m so thankful to everyone who had a hand in bringing Skye into BRN. Onward and upward sweet girl

Recently, a senior beagle was taken into care after becoming separated from her family, highlighting how easily dogs can find themselves without a safe place to land. Older dogs often need extra support, patience, and care — and situations like this are a reminder of the ongoing demand faced by rescues and shelters, particularly during busy holiday periods.

On behalf of all the BRN Committee we'd like to wish all of our fabulous volunteers and supporters a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Our committee (who double as our admin team) will be taking a well-earned break over the Christmas/New Year period as we look to rest and recharge after another busy year for all. The page will be pretty quiet over the next couple of weeks and responses to emails delayed.
