How to help out our little mates in the warmer months ππ
* Long post incoming *
Today we lost our Charlie boy. I have had the pleasure of knowing Charlie from a previous grooming job that I had when I was 17.
It was quite amazing that they managed to find me (unknowing that I already knew Charlie) back when I started Carlys Cool Canines π
I was grooming him from my trailer back in Camden. All the way up until I was 36 weeks pregnant with my son. Yes... on the floor of the trailer with a giant belly. π€£
The past few months Charlie's health was slowly declining. He didn't want to stand up for too long, but once he layed down, he couldn't get back up.
I have honestly dreaded this day. I dread every day that we all have to face eventually... the loss of our furry friends π
The loss of Charlie really hit me hard today. I think because I have had so many memories with him over the course of his glorious life...
I'm sure his loss will hit alot of people. He was quite well known in the local community (his parents were always walking him and taking him to the dog parks)
I will miss Charlie's big old bark in my ear at 830am in the salon
I will miss his stinky old man breath
I will miss his sloppy kisses
I will miss just chatting away to him throughout his groom.
Anyway... I'm crying while writing this. My thoughts and condolences are with Charlie's family. What a heartbreaking loss π
We lost a mate today. And I will be forever grateful to have known this sweet boy in all his glory β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
