An incredible milestone deserves a huge celebration! 🎉

This week we are beaming with pride as we celebrate one of our dedicated team members at Packable, who is marking an amazing 40 years of service with us!

For four decades, she has been a cornerstone of our team, bringing passion, dedication, and a positive spirit to work every single day. Her commitment is a powerful testament to the supportive and thriving community we foster at New Horizons, where people of all abilities can build lasting, meaningful careers.

It was an absolute pleasure to bring our incredible Support Coordination team together from all across NSW for a meaningful day of learning and connection.

The day was filled with sharing stories, exchanging valuable insights, and building even stronger relationships (with a few good laughs in between!). When our team is connected, it means we can provide even better, more holistic support to our community.

Stronger together! 🤝✨

What an inspiring and productive morning for our leadership team this week, who had the pleasure of meeting with the fantastic Evelyn, CEO of the Mental Health Coordinating Council (MHCC)!

As the peak body for community mental health in NSW, MHCC plays a huge role in supporting organisations like ours. We had a wonderful conversation, sharing our passion and ideas for a future where everyone has access to the support they need to thrive.

Collaborating with great partners means we can amplify our impact and work towards better outcomes for the people and communities we support. It’s all about working together to put wellbeing first.

This R U OK? Day, we invite you to take the time to genuinely ask "Are you OK?" to your friends, family, and colleagues. Really listen to their response and let them know you're there. You don't need to be an expert to have a meaningful conversation - just a good friend.

Our award-winning i. am program is a safe space for children and young people navigating suicidality and self-harm. It’s not just support; it’s a community built on trust, kindness, empowerment, and the powerful idea that young people should lead the design of their own care.

Last week at TheMHS Conference 2025, we were honoured to share the story, data, and impact of i. am. We talked about what works: radical co-production, peer support, and truly personalised care. We were so proud to hear powerful insights from Kalei, a youth peer worker, and Melita, an i. am participant, who spoke to the power of lived experience and how young people should be in the driver's seat of their recovery journey.

Any young person aged 0-25 can self-refer to i. am. We know real change happens when we listen to, and empower, the voices of young people. Together, we are forging a path toward hope and resilience.

We are bursting with pride to share that our amazing team member Annemieke was recently awarded the prestigious "Pride of Workmanship" Award by the Rotary Club of Macquarie Park.

What makes this recognition so incredibly special is that the nomination came directly from one of our customer's carers. It’s a wonderful testament to the dedication and positive impact Annemieke has on the people we support every single day.

It was wonderful to see our New Horizons team out in the community, soaking up the vibrant atmosphere and honouring the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

At New Horizons, we are deeply committed to walking alongside First Nations people. Supporting our team and clients to attend and participate in significant events like NAIDOC Week is just one of the ways we live that commitment. A huge thank you to the event organisers for bringing everyone together for such a memorable and powerful celebration!

What a fantastic day! Our South West Sydney i.am program team loved being part of the Canterbury & Bankstown Family Fun NAIDOC event on Saturday. The sense of community and celebration was incredible. A huge thank you to the organisers and everyone who stopped by our stall to say hello!
