Washington Place Pet Grooming is seeking an Experienced Pet Groomer to join their team in Currimundi, QLD. This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished pet groomer to contribute to the success of a well-established and growing pet care business.
As our new Experienced Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to a wide range of beloved family pets, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout the process. This is a casual, part-time, full-time or contract role with the potential to write your own arrangement, WHY? Because who we are seeking will be integral in the next growth phase of our business so we want someone who is passionate about training the future of grooming, managing long term relationships with our clientele and suppliers, whilst providing efficiency and the highest standards. We are offering flexibility to balance your work and personal commitments.
We are co-located with a local family owned pet store, where animals are at the centre of everything we do. Our customer service is second to none and we insist on providing an experience for each customer that has an interaction with us.
Key responsibilities
Performing a full range of grooming services, including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling pets according to client preferences and best practice
Participate in the training of up and coming groomers.
Handling pets with care and patience to create a positive grooming experience
Identifying any health or skin conditions and advising clients accordingly
Maintaining a clean and organised work environment to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and safety
Providing exceptional customer service and building rapport with clients
Collaborating with the broader team to ensure the smooth operation of the salon
Participating in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices
What we're looking for
Must be experienced in breed specific grooming and capable of completing 6-8 dogs per day (without a bather, however bather is provided on majority of shifts)
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of pet care and hygiene
Excellent communication skills and the ability to abide by clear instructions
Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work a range of shifts (you must be available for either a late afternoon once a week or every 2nd Saturday to accommodate full-time workers)
Passion for the wellbeing of pets and a genuine desire to the education of our up and coming team members
