At Catworks we build enclosures but there is much more to us than that. Each enclosure is its own sanctuary created specifically for its feline occupant boasting good looks, high end materials, thought out design and quantity craftsmanship.

This full backyard transformation now gives the resident cats safe, secure access to the outdoors - complete with plenty of climbing, lounging, and sunbathing spots.

Inside the enclosure, we’ve added our popular activity pack: marine-carpeted ledges, a tall natural branch, and a chunky climbing rope. Plus, our Rest Add-On includes two wall-mounted hammocks for the ultimate relaxation zone.

Montrose, VIC

This week we completed a full wraparound enclosure covering the side alley and backyard of this beautiful home. We added fence extensions all the way around and installed two galvanised steel gates for easy access.

Several areas required custom reinforcements to safely close off tricky gaps. Check the photos to spot where we've problem-solved! The timber door cat flap lets the cats move freely between indoors and their enclosure, where they’re met with ledges, a tall natural branch, and a chunky rope. Plenty to explore and enjoy! 🐈

This week's featured build is a great example of how a narrow balcony can still become a fun and functional space for cats. We enclosed the space with our low-visibility netting and installed marine-carpeted ledges to give the cats a perfect place to climb, perch, and relax. 🐈🌞

We’ve seen a few comments recently asking about the lack of greenery in some of our builds. While we’re always happy to chat about catscaping ideas, we’re just the first step. Our main job is to create a safe, solid foundation. From there, it’s completely up to the owner how they choose to furnish or catscape their space. Some add pots or turf, others keep it clean and low maintenance. All are valid, and all are better than no safe outdoor access at all! And keep in mind - our "Job of the Week" photos are taken right after the build is finished, often before the owner has had a chance to add their personal touches.

Our Story

From a cat enclosure made from second hand aviary and cubby house combination 10 years ago.... We have come a long way since those days, and now 95% of our enclosures are made from a high strength, UV treated polyethylene netting. This is much softer to the touch and easier on the eyes. We strive to make every enclosure functional, safe and as hard to see as possible! As qualified carpenters our quality will not be beaten and we back everything we produce with written guarantees.
