🦴 Bones for Dental Health — Yes or No? 🤔

Short answer: Not recommended ❌

While bones can help scrape off plaque, the risks outweigh the benefits.

Here’s why vets generally say NO 🙅🏼‍♀️ to bones:
🚫 Broken teeth – Bones are one of the top causes of painful tooth fractures in dogs
🚫 Choking & blockages – Pieces can splinter, causing choking or dangerous intestinal blockages
🚫 Constipation or gut injuries – Sharp fragments can injure the digestive tract
🚫 Not effective long-term – Bones don’t replace proper dental care like brushing or professional cleaning

🎉 Lump Month Success Story: Meet Harry! 🐾

Harry was adopted as a senior gentleman, with a lot of lumps — one in his left armpit the size of a small football 🏈 that was making walking uncomfortable. His loving new owner worried it might be too big to remove… but we were happy to reassure her that we’ve tackled many this size (and even bigger!) before. 💪🏼

After a thorough health check 🩺 and the tick of approval on pre-anaesthetic bloodwork ✅, Harry got the green light for surgery. Two months later, he hasn’t looked back! ⚡️

He’s now loving life at almost 13 years young, with a brand new pep in his step. His favourite activities? Fetch, bounding around after his ball, tug-of-war, and snuggle time in his PJs. 🐶💕

We’re thrilled to have helped give Harry the fresh start he deserves — and we’re even more grateful to his family for putting their trust in us and giving him a second chance. 💜

Doris vs. the Spicy Fly 🐝 🌶️ 🐶

Poor Doris got an unexpected kiss 💋 from one of those spicy flies (we think a bee! 🐝) on her Saturday afternoon adventures. Her humans weren’t sure what to do — so they gave our emergency after-hours team a call.

A some vet advice, a little reassurance, and by following instructions 💥 by morning Doris was back to her bouncy self! 💁‍♀️🐾
