We have some changes coming to our walk & trains!

Walk & Trains 🦮
- Walks will change to 30 minutes as we are finding 45 minutes to be too long for most dogs

- Walks will be a standard rate of $60

- A lead, treats, poo bags and toys will all be provided by our trainer unless discussed otherwise

- Handover is included in your timeslot, this ensures we continue to run on time

- Your dog MUST be wearing a collar

- We may refuse or cut walks short if your dog is feeling unwell or showing signs of illness such as excessive toileting or lethargy. You may be required to pay your time slot, should we cut your walk short due to an unwell dog

- If multiple walks are booked per week, updates will be delivered at the end of the week

- You will be required to pay a 50% service fee for reschedules within 24hrs

- We cannot guarantee we can accommodate a reschedule, should you need to change your timeslot

All of these changes ensure we deliver you and your dog the VERY best service 🤩

These changes will come into effect on the 1st of December, however pricing will not change for current dogs

Choosing the right dog for you keeps dogs out of shelters 🙃

Yep we said it, and most trainers will say the same

Choosing the right dog for your lifestyle is so important, and something that’s not talked about enough

Often dogs end up in shelters for behaviours that simply wouldn’t happen if the dog were in the right home, with their needs met

If you’re someone who doesn’t like the idea of always having a dog on the go, then maybe it’s not a good idea to get that kelpie 🐕💨

If you don’t want to brush a dog daily, then it’s probably not a good idea to get a poodle just because they’re cute 🐩

If you can’t commit to a dog who needs training to have a harmonious household, then don’t get that GSP 🐾

Are there exceptions to breed traits? Absolutely, but is it fair to expect you’re getting one?
Absolutely not

When you think about getting your next dog, think about the dog you need, not the dog you want

We are committed to delivering you the BEST training methods, to deliver the best results

We’re looking at change the way we do things and adopting more training methods from world renowned trainers such as Pat Stuart, Micheal Ellis, and Jacob Morgan

But to do this, we need practise!

What we’re looking for:
🐾 A dog who barks, lunges and pulls at other dogs
🐾 Not reactive to people
🐾 A dog who LOVES to play tug, or with a flirt pole
🐾 A dog who is highly food motivated
🐾 A dog with no previous bite history
🐾 Up to date C5 vaccination

About you:
👣 Comfortable with being filmed and posted on social media
👣 Is committed to daily training and will completely weekly check ins, as well as homework set throughout the week
👣 Willing to give honest feedback videoed at the end of the program
👣 Living relatively close to Shepparton CBD

About the program:
🎓 4-8 weeks, dependant on the dogs progress and amount of lessons per week
🎓 1 initial consultation followed by 3-7 weeks of follow up lessons
🎓 1-2 lessons per week, one MUST have the owner present
🎓 1.5 hr initial consultation, 45mins - 1 hr follow ups
🎓 $20 off our standard pricing per lesson

To apply:
✔️ Send a video of your dogs typical behaviour on a walk
✔️ Send a video of you and your dog playing tug, or with a flirt pole
✔️ Send through your dogs up to date C5 vaccination

We are anticipating an abundance of enquiries for this service
We will be choosing the dog that best meets our criteria

Applications will close Sunday the 19th of October at 6pm

What in the world are we doing?! 🤪

Sage and I are doing don’t muzzle targeting! 🎯

The general idea : wherever I put the muzzle, you pop your nose in there! 👃🏽

In this case sage had to go into a down to get her nose right into the back of the (too big) muzzle 🐶

The purpose of this?🤔

Creating a positive association with the muzzle by making it into a bit of a challenge 🥳

Does Sage bite? 😨
Nope! 😅
But biting isn’t the only reason you might muzzle your dog 🐾
You could muzzle them to dog them eating things off the ground when they’re off lead eg. 💩

How speedy is Charlotte!! 🐕💨

This is a game I like to call food chasing and you’ll often see me use it to help make our recall super fun! 😁

The bottom line is, if your dog comes back to you because they fear what’ll happen if they don’t, they might also decide that whatever you’re calling them away from is worth the punishment if they don’t recall 😵‍💫

That’s why I teach recall in a way that makes your dog WANT to come back to you. Because if you’re more exciting than what you’re recalling them away from, why WOULDN’T they want to come back every single time? 🥳
