Massive congratulations to Lola for completing the Calm Canine Blueprint! 🥳

When Lola first started, seeing other dogs would trigger lunging, pulling and barking. Walks could be challenging, and knowing how to respond around other dogs wasn’t always easy.

Now, Lola is learning to look to her owners for guidance, make better decisions around other dogs and navigate the world with more confidence.

Progress like this takes time, consistency and commitment, and her owners deserve a huge shoutout for putting in the work alongside her!

We’re so proud of how far Lola has come, and we can’t wait to see her continue to grow. 💗

Heel isn’t just about getting your dog to walk beside you — it’s about teaching them to stay engaged with you, even when the world around them is full of distractions! 🐾

Sometimes our dogs need a little extra motivation to stay in position, especially when there are smells to investigate or they start drifting ahead or falling behind.

Here’s how we help:

* Change your pace – speed up or slow down to encourage your dog to stay engaged.
* Change direction – keep your dog thinking and paying attention to where you’re going.
* Give clear guidance – if your dog moves out of position, use your cue and calmly guide them back into the correct position.

The goal is to teach your dog that staying with you is rewarding and that they need to pay attention to your movements, rather than getting lost in their own world.

Consistency is key! The more you practise, the more natural it becomes.

Does your dog have to play with other dogs to be well-socialised?

The answer is no!

Socialisation isn’t about letting your dog meet every dog they see. It’s about teaching them to feel comfortable and confident in different environments and around different people, dogs and distractions.

This includes learning to:

* Walk past other dogs calmly.
* See another dog without pulling to say hello.
* Focus on you around distractions.
* Coexist around other dogs without needing to interact.

While playing with suitable dog friends can be great, learning to remain calm around dogs is just as important.

We want our dogs to understand that seeing another dog doesn’t always mean they get to say hello!

Milo has joined the Puppy Starter Program!

We’re working on building his confidence and helping him feel more comfortable with grooming, particularly when it comes to having his face handled.

We’re also focusing on building better manners with his owners, developing good habits and helping Milo learn how to make better choices in everyday situations.

The goal is to help Milo grow into a calm, confident and well-mannered dog, while making sure his owners feel confident and supported along the way.

Marlo has officially completed the Puppy Starter Program!

It’s been so lovely watching Marlo grow, learn and make progress throughout the program!

From building the foundations to improving everyday manners, the goal is always to set both the puppy and their owners up for success in real life.

Puppy training isn’t about having a perfect dog. It’s about building good habits, creating clear communication and giving owners the confidence to navigate life with their dog.

So proud of Marlo and his owners for all the work they’ve put in! You guys should be so proud of how far you’ve come. 🫶🏼
