Over the past twenty years (yes we've been around that long and longer!!), we have proudly helped thousands of horses around Australia feel and perform their best through red light and more recently, multi radiance therapy.

When we first introduced these products to the Australian market six years ago through Equestricare, our goal was simple: to give horses top-quality, effective, and comfortable therapy solutions — and that still remains our mission today.

Equine Therapy Products branched off as it’s own business because the amount of time and money spent in refining it. Testing and developing the best products needed it’s own space, and this decision has allowed us to really make our range something extra special. ✨

Flick through to see what makes our range a little bit special. ➡

Thank you to every single one of you who has supported us again and again. We love hearing from you and seeing our products out there being used by you everyday!

Blue light is powerful on its own. Working closest to the surface of the body, it targets the skin, surface inflammation, and superficial tissue layers. It has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties making it incredibly effective for wounds, skin conditions, and surface irritations.

But pulsed blue light takes it a step further. 🔵✨

Pulsed light delivers the therapy in short, rhythmic bursts rather than a continuous beam. This pulsing action is thought to enhance the body's response. It allows the tissue to absorb the light more effectively between pulses and supports a deeper therapeutic effect even at the surface level.

For horses dealing with skin conditions, wounds, or surface inflammation, pulsed blue light is a really powerful tool to have in your kit. 🐴

Do you know why you can only see blue and red light in our therapy products? 🤔

It's because the visible light spectrum sits between 400nm and 700nm. That's everything our eyes can actually see, from blue through to red.

Our 660nm red light sits right at the longer end of that visible spectrum, which is why you can see it glowing when it's in use. 🔴

But our near infrared light sits beyond 700nm, which means it's completely invisible to the human eye. You won't see it, but it's absolutely still working. Penetrating deeper into the tissue than any visible wavelength can reach. ⚫

Pretty cool hey?

If you're into learning more of the scientific side of light therapy, we have a whole online course dedicated to it! DM us to find out more🔴

Near-Infrared light goes further than the red and blue light we talked about last week.

At around 850nm, near-infrared light is designed to pe*****te beyond the muscle layer and into the deepest tissue layers of your horse. This makes it ideal for targeted, deeper support.

Near-infrared light is commonly used to support:

⚫ Deeper tissue comfort
⚫ Joints and bony areas
⚫ Tendons and ligaments
⚫ Areas that need more targeted, deeper support

Near-infrared goes deeper than both blue and red light. This makes it the go-to option when surface or muscle-level support isn't quite enough on its own. It's a perfect tool for those dealing with ligament damage or who need extra support in these areas.

You can use near-infrared in short, consistent sessions as part of a maintenance routine and it works especially well alongside other wavelengths for a fully layered approach to your horse's care. ✨

Each wavelength has it's own purpose and near-infrared does its best work deep beneath the surface. 🙌

Save this for later to remind you of how different light settings work! ⚫

Red light therapy, it goes further than the blue light we talked about yesterday.

At around 660nm, Red Light is designed to pe*****te past the surface and into the muscle layer of your horse, making it ideal for everyday muscle support.

That’s why red light is commonly used to support:
🔴 Muscle comfort after work
🔴 Larger muscle groups like the back, shoulders and glutes
🔴 Areas that feel tight or fatigued
🔴 Regular maintenance for legs and tendons

Red light goes deeper than blue light, but not as deep as infrared. This makes it a really practical option when your horse needs support without targeting the deeper tissues.

You can use red light therapy twice a week for your horse's maintenance or 3-4 times per week if your horse has an injury.

Save this for later to remind you of how different light settings work!🔴

What is it?? Blue Light Therapy 101!

Blue Light Therapy doesn't travel deep into the layers... And that's the whole point.
It works closest to the surface of the body.

At around 440nm, blue light is designed to support the skin and superficial tissue layers, rather than penetrating deeply into muscle or joints.

Blue light is great for:
🔵 Cooling inflammation
🔵 Reducing bacteria and fungi
🔵 Calming the skin and aiding tissue repair

Not every situation calls for deep support. Sometimes targeting the top layers is exactly what’s needed, especially for scar tissue support.

Each wavelength has a role to play and blue light does its best work right at the surface! ✨

Save this for later to remind you of how different light settings work. 🔵
