Dental disease is not just something experienced by senior pets with younger pets showing signs.

If your pet shows signs of bad breath, discoloured teeth or excessive drooling they may be in the early stages of dental disease.

So next time you're booking your dental appointment, remember to also book your furry friend in to get theirs checked as well.

Until 30 September, get $50 off a stage 1 dental scale & polish at your local Greencross Vets clinic. T&Cs apply.

⚠️Canine leptospirosis alert for Illawarra and Shoalhaven. This serious bacterial disease can cause vomiting, diarrhoea and lethargy in dogs and can be fatal if left undiagnosed and untreated. If you live in these affected areas, then please speak to your local vet who will be able to advise you regarding vaccination for your dog. Please keep an eye on your dog and if they show these symptoms, then please call your local vet or nearest pet emergency hospital immediately.

Four dogs have died from canine leptospirosis, with two confirmed in the Southern Highlands and Shoalhaven.

The serious bacterial disease is spread by rats and contaminated water and can cause liver and kidney failure.

Some of the symptoms include vomiting or diarrhea and lethargy.

Dog owners in the Southern Highlands and South coast are being urged to have their pets vaccinated and to avoid letting them drink or swim in stagnant water.

Exciting New Update!

For the last 8 months Greencross Ipswich & Greencross Silkstone-Booval have been working together as one team. For you (The amazing clients) this meant consistent opening hours, a dedicated team and even now opening for half days on Saturdays.

As we move toward a new year (I know right, I can't believe its almost 2025!), this too brings some new changes. We will have Dr Kelsie O'Leary here for most of the week, doing the occasional shift at Silkstone-Booval. But we will also be welcoming Dr Tony Snell on Thursday and Friday.

Dr Kelsie started out at Silkstone-Booval as a Graduate 3 years ago, and since then has taken strides to excel in every aspect she can.

Dr Tony has been the long standing Vet Director at Silkstone-Booval but has decided to take over the role here at Ipswich.

We will have a few other Vet's that cycle through on different day's but all are just as amazing as each other. All will give you and your pet the best care.

Looking forward to sharing an amazing 2025 with you all!
