🐦We ask that if you have a pet bird that is unwell, please call the clinic for advice.

If you see sick or injured wild birds, especially if there is multiple in one location - do not touch sick or dead birds or marine mammals, record the location and to report them to the Emergency Animal Disease hotline on 1800 675 888.
We ask that you please call ahead before bringing any wildlife to the clinic, and you may be asked to wait outside the clinic for triage.

The high pathogenicity avian influenza H5N1 strain (H5 bird flu) has been detected in Victoria.

A single greater crested tern was found in Portland and was reported on 27 July 2026.

We know many Victorians care deeply about our wildlife and may be concerned about what this means for native bird populations.

If you encounter sick or dead birds or wildlife, do not touch them. Instead, record the exact location, take photos if it is safe to do so, and report it online or by calling the Emergency Animal Disease Hotline on 1800 675 888.

Early reports help wildlife and animal health experts monitor disease activity and determine where action may be needed.

Your observations can make a real difference in helping us understand and respond to impacts on Victoria's wildlife.

✨️ It's been a while but we're back with our new puppy school graduates of July! ✨️

You're looking sweet little Martha the cocker spaniel, tiny little cavoodle Suki, Lily the Golden Retriever and her best friend Rollo the lab. We also can't forget Charlie the mini groodle and tiny little cocker spaniel Stevie as well!

This gorgeous little sausage is Dumpling!

Dumpling has recently completed a course of acupuncture with us and according to her owner she is running, bouncing around and generally feeling pretty good!

Acupuncture is a centuries old traditional treatment originating in ancient China, which can be used to treat many conditions as well as improve general well-being.

Dr Lisia holds a Certificate in Veterinary Acupuncture from the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society and has been practicing acupuncture for over 12 years. If you think your pet could benefit from a treatment or have any questions please contact the clinic on 93914222 to make an appointment.

This week Dr Santi and Dr Rachel have been attending the Australian Vet Association conference in Brisbane. Our vets love doing regular CPD, enabling the clinic to keep up to date with the newest medical and surgical options for our patients.

Last week we had a very special birthday at the clinic. Our CEO Eddie celebrated his 17th birthday. We get lots of our loving clients ask if he’s still here and YES! Of course he is. He is just a little quieter these days spending more of his time sleeping in random spots, stealing our lunches and demanding all the treats, which we give in to every time. We love you Eddie!
