Last week I got bitten by a dog.
Yep! You read that right! In 12 years of training, this was my first dog bite. Thankfully it wasn't anything serious, just a few bruises.
Now, I'm not angry at the owners or the dog.
It was unprovoked and totally out of the blue.
This dog was very overwhelmed and acted out out of fear. He didn’t want to hurt me - if he did, I would probably be writing this from a hospital bed.

This is the reality of working with dogs.
Dog Trainers and Dog Professionals work with so many different dogs on a daily basis and unfortunately there's always a risk.

Does this make me a bad trainer? No.
Does this mean I have no idea what I'm doing? No.
This is just one of those unfortunate situations I got myself in.
This dog needs some intense training to ensure this doesn't happen again and I'm happy to report the owners are 100% committed to getting him on the right path 😀

I have referred this boy on to someone who I know will work wonders and I'm so excited to see the results!
