Super proud of my girl Laras performance in this trial, that gave us Australias highest MR2 score 279/300 with FCI judge Michel Boisseau.

We lost some points for silly reasons but that's why we put ourselves on the trial field in Mondioring, to expose all the holes in our training and grow from it.

The dog training world has become so mislead by unreliable scientific studies and professional dog 'talkers' rather than listening to the professional dog TRAINERS. Everyone has a speech they want to give, youtube channel, instagram, podcast and all the rest of it to promote their so called abilities to train a dog and their knowledge of the theory, which is all fine, but where is the substantial proof?

Competing in dog sports is by far the hardest test for anyones training skills (and the dogs genetics). There are very few people putting their skills to the test and proving successful time after time.

This is why we follow the world leaders in competitive dog sports, and not the people with the most likes on social media or some bias study made only to push for a certain agenda.

This is also why our trainers are constantly testing and refining their skills in competitive dog sports, to prove our methods are successful and also reliable, even in a 40 minute competition with no leash, collar or any other equipment on the dog.

As it stands, the highest performers in all sports that include a competing motivator, all take a balanced training approach. The shortfalling of training methods that don't include any form of negative reinforcement or positive punishment are well documented and understood by people that train at this level.

Here's a quick list of our few achievements in competitions, not including our achievements as training decoys, trial decoys or the achievements of our clients.

(1st ever level 3 passing score in any suit sport Australia wide.)

Optimal canine provide training of all sorts, from puppy to adulthood. But these guys are members of our Optimal Canine Training Performance team.
This team is for those who come to train with us with a goal in mind. To compete in dog sports and achieve titles with their dogs.
The chosen sport for Jordan and Andrew is Mondioring which is a bite sport but no matter what sport you want to compete in, Optimal Canine can help.
The boys stepped out and tried their hand in a different bite sport being PSA and both walked away with their PDC title. Andrew also took out the decoys choice award, an award often given to the dog with the strongest grips, presence and intimidation factor.
Training can only enhance a dogs natural ability and Andrew’s dog Remi is the best Malinois bitch I have ever seen in this country, provided to Andrew by Ignition K9. We are so proud of these boys having already achieved titles in mondioring and then branching out and still finding success.

Meet Tank and Millie.

These 2 could not be run together without fights. The fights were caused by high states of arousal with no direction or outlet. The owners were distraught feeling helpless after having a few trainers out and being told never have them together, they can’t be worked with and one would have to be rehomed. After staying with us for board and train the owners couldn’t be more happy with the results. Now that the dogs have reliable obedience and have learned to work together rather than against each other they can not only be let run together and play but they also have a reliable recall making them safer and giving them more freedom to explore in places where dogs are allowed to explore.
