In Loving Memory of Panda 🐾

It’s with very heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our beautiful clinic cat, Panda. ❤️

She greeted staff, patients and clients in her own special way, and became a much-loved member of our Moss Vale Vets family.

Twenty-one years is an incredible life, but saying goodbye is never easy — especially when they have been part of your world for so long.

Thank you, Panda, for 21 years of cuddles, companionship and being our very special clinic cat. You will be missed more than words can say. 🌈🐾

A few simple steps can make all the difference in helping your pet get home safely if they ever go missing.

✔️ Keep your pet’s microchip details up to date
✔️ Make sure they wear a collar with a current ID tag
✔️ Check that your home and yard are secure to prevent escapes
✔️ Keep dogs on a lead when out and about, or supervise them in unfenced areas
✔️ Keep cats indoors or provide a secure outdoor enclosure (catio)
✔️ Be mindful of storms and fireworks if your pet is anxious, as frightened pets are more likely to run away

❄️ Winter Wellness Tips for Your Pets 🐾

The colder months are here, but a few simple steps can help keep your pets happy, healthy and comfortable all winter long.

✔️ Keep their bed warm, dry and away from cold floors or draughts.
✔️ Keep them mentally stimulated with enrichment and gentle play.
✔️ Check outdoor water bowls regularly to make sure they haven’t frozen over.
✔️ Don’t skip their daily walks—movement is so important for maintaining healthy joints, muscles and circulation, even in winter.

And don’t forget—a Winter Wellness Check is a great way to pick up small issues before they become bigger ones.

🐾 Age doesn’t have to mean slowing down.

Watching older dogs run, play and enjoy life is a great reminder that stiffness and slowing down aren’t always “just old age.”

If your dog is becoming reluctant to play, hesitates to jump into the car or onto the couch, seems stiff after resting, or isn’t moving as freely as they used to, arthritis could be the reason.
