⚠️ PARALYSIS TICK ALERT ⚠️
We’ve recently seen cases of tick paralysis in our clinic, so now is an important time to make sure your pets are protected.
Paralysis ticks can cause rapidly progressive and potentially life-threatening illness, so know what to look out for:
- Weakness or wobbliness in the back legs
- Gagging, retching, coughing or difficulty swallowing or breathing
- Progressive weakness, collapse or inability to stand
- Changes in vocalisation, barks and meows
Tick paralysis is a preventable disease. It’s essential to use a reputable tick prevention to protect your pets + daily searches.
