Named after much loved veterinarian Dr. Sophie Putland, who tragically took her own life in 2021, Sophie’s Legacy was established to honour her legacy and to provide real support for vets struggling with industry challenges. ​

Please remember that Monday 10th June is a public holiday, and our clinic will be closed.
If you have need for prescription medication or diets please let us know as soon as possible so that we can fast track your order. We don't want your pet to run out.

We will resume normal trade hours on Tuesday 11th, 8:00am-6:00pm

In the case of an emergency, please call the emergency triage nurses at VRH Dandenong on 1300 385 874 - 36 Lonsdale Street, Dandenong.

Alternatively, if you need on-the-spot Veterinary advice, please reach out to our WebVet service, they are available 24/7 and you can Facetime with a vet who can triage your pet.

Phase 2 of our clinic's facelift has commenced and we are so excited to see how it turns out 😆
Please be advised there there will be limited access to the front of our clinic, if our main door is obstructed when you arrive please use the door to the right hand side.
Also, the smell of paint is quite strong, so if your are sensitive or feel as though it might be too overwhelming for your pet, please call to let us know and we'll happy reschedule your appointment.

Works will continue for today and tomorrow.

We hope everyone enjoys the new look as much as we will 😻🐶

🐰CUTNESS OVERLOAD 🐰

Everyone meet Sir Stoney Binkey Bunny, 1st, who came in last week for his castration procedure. He has come in today for his free post-op consult with our Nurses and his primary caregiver says that he has been in LEAPS and Bounds, recovering well from his big procedure! 🥰

Sir Stoney Binkey Bunny plays a huge role in supporting a local disability support group by providing loads of love and cuddles 😍🫶

Helping our local wildlife gives us so much joy 🤩
Mel & the Menagerie, native & domestic animal rescue inc were heavily impacted by the storms, resulting in a power outage that’s lasted right through until yesterday!! 😱 Never once did they stop providing care to all of their orphans 😍

We are truly grateful for everything they do 🐨

Tomorrow we will be having works done to our very tired carpark, this means that there will be some minor limitations to parking spaces - Please use our small parking spaces to the right as you drive in or continue to the right to park out the back. There will be no disruption to our disabled carpark.
If anyone has any difficulty please pop in and let the team know and we will allocate a spot for you.

Wishing all of our Pet parents and their fur kids a very merry Christmas and a safe new year! 🥂🎄
Please note our clinic's closures over the break, in the case of an emergency it's a good idea to have VRH Dandenong in your fast dials. Don't forget, Web Vet is also available 24hrs, 7 days a week and can help you determine the urgency of getting your pet to the vet.

Please be vigilant with your pets over the break as we often see an increase in food related illnesses.

-Avoid Chocolate at all costs, even a tiny amount can be critically dangerous to your pets. 🍫🚫
-Avoid food with garlic and onions, these food products cause hemolytic anemia which means the your pets red blood cells explode! 😱 Should your pet accidentally get into any food with garlic and onion it is best call an emergency center immediately. 🏨
-Avoid meat rinds, your pets' pancreas will thank you for it. Pancreatitis is one of the most common emergencies we face over the holiday season and requires many days of hospitalization to treat. This can be one of the most painful medical conditions for your pet to experience. 🩹

Check your local council website for any Christmas or new years celebrations that have planned fireworks. If you need advice for reducing anxiety and stress, don't hesitate to call our jolly nurses 👩‍⚕️
