Things are looking a little different behind the scenes at Millicent & Kingston Veterinary Clinics as we officially switch over to our new operating system! 🎉

You probably won’t notice any difference when you visit us, but our team will be busy learning all the new clicks, taps and tricks! 😅

There may be a few “where did that button go?” moments while we find our paws!

The BreastScreen SA mobile screening unit is in Millicent from 27 July to 8 September 2026, making it easy to prioritise your own health close to home.
A free breast screen is available for women aged 40 and over, with regular screening especially recommended for women aged 50 to 74. Breast screening can detect breast cancer early, often before it can be felt, when treatment is most effective.

A lifesaver (literally!).

This is Bruno!
Bruno recently came into clinic as a blood donor for another dog in critical condition.

This dog was able to combat their condition with Bruno's help and went home a few days later- thanks Bruno!

We are on the hunt for more generous blood donor dogs that we may call on in an emergency.

The criteria required to be a canine blood donor are:

-Between 2-8yo
Over 30kg, preferably over 35kg

-Up to date with vaccinations

-No underlying illnesses

-Not on any ongoing medication

-Has not had a blood transfusion, or a litter of puppies in the past

We LOVE puppy visits at the clinic 🐶

Vaccinations, microchips and health checks are all a very important part in keeping your puppy healthy and safe.

We now have special puppy packs to welcome your new addition, these include important information and a few special extras to help you out on this new and exciting journey.

Everyone meet Freddie!
This tough boy came in after-hours to us recently after being found seizing when his owners returned home.
With a high suspicion of an unknown toxin ingestion, Freddie received countless medications, had his stomach pumped and detoxified, and over the coming days, was also fighting significant complications including aspiration pneumonia, damage to his liver, and heart issues.
His owners showed unwavering commitment to Freddie's recovery and he was receiving high intensity supportive care by all of our amazing team.
On day 4 of hospitalisation and after 36 hours in an induced coma, Freddie started to open his eyes and attempted to lift his head.
By the following day, he was standing and could eat.
After a full week with us, incredibly, Freddie was able to go back home to his family!
We are so proud of you little Freddie for beating all the odds and getting through such an ordeal, and equally as proud of our team who rallied around one special little sausage dog to get him home once again.
No offence Freddie, but I hope we don't see you in the clinic too soon 🐾

Millicent and Kingston Veterinary Clinic are pleased to partner with Story Dogs.
Cynthia and Milla will soon be visiting Newbery Park Primary School to support students during reading sessions to encourage confidence, stronger literacy skills and community connection.
