✨POLICY UPDATE ✨ If you are a client with an upcoming appointment please check your email. I want to thank all of our loyal clients, for continuing to support Short Bark n Sides.
All clients with upcoming scheduled appointment will be asked to enter a credit card in order to reserve any appointments. I understand that this makes some people uncomfortable and so I thought I'd explain why I have had to put it in place and how it will work.
Unfortunately over the years I've been in business (10 years!) I've now had quite a few last minute cancellations and no-show clients and this problem seems to be growing. This results to loss of income, not to mention turning down other appointments I could have accepted and missing out on new clients who would have become repeat clients if they'd been able to get an appointment.
I completely accept that life/work commitments get in the way or we wake up feeling unwell and appointments cant be made and where I am understanding, please understand that this is a small business I'm running.
First of all, rest assured, your information is safe. The booking app I use is Fresha, this is where your information is stored. Fresha is a credit card processor used by many businesses and is very secure.
You will receive a text message from Fresha with a link to set up your file that will allow you to safely add your credit card details.
Second, this is not a prepayment. You will not be charged at the time you schedule your appointment. The only time I will use this information to collect payment is if you have not met our Cancelation and or No Show Policy.
My hope is that the credit card requirement will make people more thoughtful about their dog's grooming appointment, that they may already know they can't or won't make the appointment or solely rely on our reminder service.
I hope that this will help you to better understand my policies and that you are assured that your information is secure and will not be abused.
