A few kits are catching our eyes recently but this one in particular I’m feeling excited about.

What a great day catching up with friends, and another day out with the bunnies!! I’m so happy to be back with my rabbits. 🥰

And wowzers my boy Starshine has really surprised me again! He’s my special little guy and all I have been working towards the last few years with my nethies. This entire year has been amazing and I cannot wait to see how his current kits grow out to be.

Some comparisons shots of our current Plush Netherland Dwarfs. 😍

Anchovy is our oldest with us at current, now 12 months old we have a better understanding what he brings to the breed in development program. He is slightly long in body, and leg but a crucial part to the future so far.

Barracuda, at 6 months old she is looking lovely. Hopefully she’ll become a wonderful mother. For her I’d want stocker bone to leg and then an overall tidy of type. I reckon to some of our carrier bucks she will correct very nicely.

Ross, our youngest at current being 2 months old. Is very promising. It will be very interesting and exciting to see how he develops, hoping for his head to boof out and balance out his ears a little. Time will tell with this little cutie.

Below we have Cherry who is one of my older show bucks I’ve relentlessly shown at nearly every show and every time “woah they have eyebrows”…

I also then have Dewdrop who is a young under 5 month buck. At one stage I considered selling him but not anymore more. At least for now! He is just the complete perfect ball of black void at the moment.

Finally my lady Edith just cause I like the photo of her. She honestly is amazing to work with and is super super tolerant of everything I do to her. Genuinely very happy how well behaves she’s been at shows, as she definitely does have a spicy side.

Never enough bunnies! Even my tertiary assignments can’t escape. 🤭

Quite proud of the work I put into my literature review, looking at the benefits of forage in a rabbit’s diet through an enrichment lens, and the impact this can have on rabbit welfare.

It was also an opportunity to explore something I’m already quite interested in: rabbit snacks, forage variety and alternative feeding methods. I’ve always been interested in looking beyond the standard feeding routine and exploring how we can better encourage natural behaviours through food.

It would be interesting to see where this could develop in the future. Maybe one day I’ll conduct my own little fun studies comparing which types of forage and snacks my rabbits prefer, while continuing to build my understanding of enrichment and its role in reducing abnormal behaviours to aid and assist the wider community.

Always something new to learn about keeping rabbits.🥰
