Today, August 28th, is the day that we remember our special pets that are no longer with us. โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน Whilst the pain of losing a pet somewhat heals over time, they are never forgotten, and today is their day to recognise the wonderful times we shared with them. ๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’ซ They will always hold a special place in our hearts for the joy they brought and the unconditional love that each one shared.

Lightning visited us for his castration procedure, and it's safe to say he won over the whole team! This sweet little kitten soaked up plenty of cuddles and attention during his stayโ€”especially from Nurse Heidi and Dr Clara, who couldn't resist his adorable face.โšก

This gorgeous (and very cheeky!) Rottweiler puppy, Moose, gave his family quite a scare after swallowing a whole corn cob in one gulp! Despite his owner's best efforts to grab it, Moose decided to swallow even fasterโ€”something we see all too often with determined puppies! ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Fortunately, Moose was rushed straight to the clinic. As the corn cob had only just been swallowed, we were able to safely induce vomiting. Moose was given a meal to help the cob come back up smoothly, allowing Moose to avoid what could have become a serious intestinal blockage and emergency surgery. ๐Ÿฉบ๐Ÿ’‰๐Ÿฉธ

Corn cobs are one of the most common causes of intestinal obstructions in dogs. While they may seem harmless, they don't break down in the digestive tract and can quickly become life-threatening if they get stuck.๐ŸŒฝ๐Ÿšจ

If you think your pet has swallowed something they shouldn't, don't wait for symptoms to developโ€”contact your veterinarian as soon as possible. Early treatment can often make all the difference.๐Ÿคณ
