Raw chopped pet food produced by Maffra Knackery between May 31 and July 3 can be returned for a full refund or replacement, the business has announced.
The raw food being voluntarily recalled is labelled “Backman’s Greyhound Supplies Chopped” and “Maffra Knackery Chopped”.
The offer comes as PrimeSafe and Agriculture Victoria investigate a cluster of dogs affected with severe liver disease.

There has recently been a number of cases of liver disease in Bairnsdale that are believed to be linked with feeding raw beef (pathology testing pending). While the source is still unknown, it is in your pets best interest to CEASE raw beef feeding until further notice & we are updated with more information from Agriculture Victoria.
❗️Signs of liver disease can be lethargy, drinking excessively, vomiting/diarrhea, pale faeces, jaundice(yellow) eyes/gums, loss of coordination or seizures.❗️
