And that’s a wrap on the 2026 Show season!

We finished off the year with a trip down to Lismore for the North Coast National Show.

This is always a strongly supported show with good numbers of quality cattle and this year was no different.

Steers
We took 3 purebred steers down for Sunset Park Square Meaters and they certainly made their mark on both hoof & hook.

Charolais

The 150th Ekka hosted the Charolais World Congress, so numbers & quality were very high in this ring. While the 2 heifers we exhibited for P***n Creek Charolais didn’t ribbon we were happy with how they stood up in their classes.

12-u14 mths Female - Brendale Yvette

Angus

We exhibited 10 head across 3 studs in the Angus ring where again the quality was very high across all classes. We were proud of how our cattle looked, with most picking up a ribbon.

Sparky - Speckle Park x Limo purchased from Combined Forces Sale Oct 2025. 1st in led class, Champion Lightweight Led Steer. MSA Eating Quality Award. Equal 4th in the carcass on points (but lots of tie breaks)

Class 5 (431-460kg)

And that’s Ekka done for 2026. Took a trip down memory lane today before they tear down the old cattle sheds. It really was a very different Ekka experience in those days. If these walls could talk 😂

It’s been a fortnight of ups & downs but we have made it through thanks to our amazing team ( again we were too busy and forgot to get a team pic 🥺)

Will post results & pics in near future.
