Wonkey Donkey 🫏🤣

Today was farrier day for the donkeys and ponies.
Wonk still has a way to go to get back to his old trusting self, but we got one foot further than the last visit.
Mavi was a legend, lifting his feet for the farrier himself, the ponies were much better again this visit too.
Dixie isn’t at a point where we can do her feet yet, but we will get her there.
Huge thanks to Dolmans Forge and Farriery for his patience with Wonk, he is worth it.

Great day today back at Gatton uni.

Despite the cold weather it was great catching up with other farriers and learning some new techniques.

I'm working most of tomorrow to catch up but today was well worth it 🐴

Baby Poseidon getting his feet done. Our babies get their first farrier check at 2 weeks old and then every 7 weeks after that with the big horses. It is very important during these growth periods to have feet kept in check as it can impact how other bones develop. Healthy feet - healthy horse
