SCAM ALERT
Expired microchip registration. We have been made aware of a scam targeting pet owners. A number of people have reported receiving emails and/or text messages saying there pets registration has expired and they need to pay a fee to renew otherwise the microchip will no longer be valid. THIS IS A SCAM! Please do not click the link or enter payment details! In NSW once you have paid your pets registration fees there is no other payment required. It is a lifetime registration. It does not expire. If you are unsure if your pet is registered please phone your local council to check. If you receive one of these scam emails or texts please visit the scam watch website to report.

Totally dogs grooming salon

WE ARE THE VOICE FOR Y0UR DOG

As at the 26th August 2025 Totally dogs will be starting a dogs voice walking group around Lismores CBD.

We aim to promote responsible dog ownership.

On our walks we will also be offering health and nutrition advice for your dogs. And helping you with basic obedience. Healing on a leash and general socialising.

Come one and all and join us for a walk.

This is a free group to join , just make sure you have plenty of poo bags and some treats.

Starting point will be at totally dogs 46 Terania Street North Lismore.
5.00pm sharp. We aim for a 1/2 hour walk.

It’s tick season

Tick alert!
Tick paralysis is a potentially life-threatening group of clinical signs caused by the injection of toxins from paralysis ticks. We live in a high risk area as paralysis ticks are found predominantly along the East Coast of Australia. To protect your pet please use a registered tick control product such as Bravecto, Nexgard, nexgard spectra, or simparica and check your pet daily for ticks. Bravecto quantum is a year long flea and tick injection that can be given to dogs. If you are unsure about what product to use please come in to the clinic or call us on 66285262 to discuss your options. If you find a tick on your pet, remove the tick and keep in case you need to show your vet (ziplock bag or jar) then watch for any signs of tick paralysis. If you notice any signs contact us or an out of hours vet immediatley.
Signs of tick paralysis include:
-Altered mobility (loss of coodination or wobbliness, difficulty climbing steps or jumping up or down)
- Difficulty standing or difficulty sitting
- Unable to rise from a laying position
- Laboured or rapid breathing
- Change or loss of voice (brak or meow)
- Groaning
- Coughing
- Gagging and vomiting
- Loss of appetite
- Cannot blink
- Appears generally unwell

Please don’t be alarmed but TICK season has started.

Please make sure that you are prepared by taking TICK prevention for your dogs and cats .

Grooming and clipping off that winter coat is a must if you’re not using any tick prevention products, it makes it easier to find. Please be vigilant.

Christmas in July, but the ticks are out already. So please be careful. Make sure you check your dogs regularly. And or use Nextguard or Bravecto.

It’s Christmas in July, Harry is so excited. He wants to show everyone what’s coming for Christmas in December. This Christmas harry is going to hold a special photo shoot for everyone that gets groomed. Over the years totally dogs has taken thousands of photos for you all to enjoy. This year we will be asking for a gold coin donation to help KATS AND KITTENS AND DOG RESCUE. Your donation will help to re - home and de-sex all the cats kittens and dogs that are abandoned over the festival season.
